Posted - Jun 22 2009 : 7:28:09 PM For awhile now, my sister and I have been the lone members of our Southern Indiana Barn Chicks Chapter... But not anymore!!! We have a new member, Kathleen and she knows lots of ladies interested!!! We have our first informational meeting on July 13th! Yay! If there are any Southern Indiana Chicks... or anyone interested. Send me an email. Also, first meetings can be kind of awkward when people don't know eachother... any suggestions for topics or activities?

Posted - Jul 13 2009 : 6:19:49 PM HEy peachy, sorry I didnt respond sooner... I don't always have access to a computer. That would be great to stop by if I ever go to Michigan... thanks so much for the invite. My chapter talked about someday having a big "chapter camp-out" and invite other chapters to come and camp-out and just get to meet other farmgirls around the nation... wouldn't that be awesome!?

Posted - Jul 13 2009 : 6:16:45 PM Well, we had our meeting today and it was GREAT!!!! We had a great time and got a lot accomplished. We have plans for a yard sale, movie night, slumber party, and have also planned more meetings! I am so excited about it! Things went better than I expected and everyone that we thought would be there showed up! Melanie, I tried your ice braker idea and asked what everyones hobbies were and what they would like to get out of the group. A lot of them had special talents that they want to teach and others were there to learn. I am very proud of our group!!!
