Hi All,

Are there any farmgirls living in West Central Wisconsin who would like to develop a chapter?

There are two listings - one for Hixton and one for Arcadia - but after emailing with Julie and Dawn who run them, nothing has actually gotten off the ground yet. Maybe we can change that?

So if you live between LaCrosse and Eau Claire (or surrounding areas, and would like to MEET between LaCrosse and Eau Claire), would you please post here so we know how many gals might be up for getting together?

I live in Augusta (near Foster, south of Eau Claire) and I would love to host a chapter here, but I can't, having four large house dogs who were all rescues and who have abominable manners. Unless you want to meet out in the goat barn.

Seriously, I'd like to get together with a group of like-minded ladies who enjoy gardening, crafts, animals, the outdoors - even if it is for coffee at McDonald's. Or maybe Alternative Grounds in Independence would be more in keeping with the MaryJane lifestyle!

Let's hear from you. Maybe we can form a network and help each other out with some projects, or teach one another some new skills.

Have a lovely day!
Stasia

We could meet in Oct. ???? if anyone is interested. I can not meet on our normal Sat. as I will be on my way to Seattle on AM trac! Yeah.. but let me know if anyone would like to gather some other day or time.

Ok Ladies here's the lowdown on the Garden tour/walk. It is Located on 8th St. in Black River Falls. A subdivision called West Wind Estates. The time is from 11a-3p. I would think we could meet at the Hospital Parking lot and walk to some of the homes but I am going to call and double check on Parking information. I would like to try to get there by 11a. Please rsvp me so I know who all is coming. If you know of any of your friends or family that would like to attend all are welcome. More the merrier. I think we will try to have coffee or a bite to eat afterwards.
Thanks, Dawn

HI there Ladies,
It sure is a rainy weekend! Glad my garden and flowers are all planted and soaking up this rain.
I wanted to drop everyone a line to let you know we will meet next Sat. at the DeeDee's diner in Northfield.
The only restauraunt in town. Its the large white building on the curve in town. If you are coming from the interstate it will be on your left. Exit 98 off of I-94. Not too hard to find. We will meet at 1p. I am going to get there a little bit early to grab a bite to eat. Dianne closes at 1:30p so we will have to lock up. She may stay and join us?? More the merrier... Invite your friends. Bring your current projects and photos of critters, family, etc... what ever you want to show off! I look forward to seeing you all again.... Dawn

Do any of you ladies want to volunteer your home/farm for our next meeting place in June?
Also for our July meeting I hear Black River Falls is having their Garden Tour on July 11th which would be our meeting date. I was wondering if you we could meet in Black River and then take the tour together? The cost is relatively inexpensive and the tours have always been great in the past. Let me know your thoughts. Have a wonderful day! Dawn

I too had a wonderful time! I thoroughly enjoyed hearing about everyone's animals... baa baa black sheep... sounds oh sooo cute! The llama's sound interesting too. I wouldn't mind meeting at someone's farm. I don't mind driving. So what ever you ladies decide is fine by me. Stasia, I think that is a wonderful idea to bring a project of ours to the next meeting! And of course I will bring some updated pictures of my dogs. Now which one of my many projects that I am working on should I bring....

HI There Ladies,
I enjoyed myself as well. I really was amazed at how we all know some of the same people. Small world indeed.
I look forward to our next meeting.
I think that sounds great Stasia for our next meetings theme. I will bring photos and also my lace project as I am sure I will still be working on it. Going slow but sure.....
Does anyone have any idea on where we should meet? We should decide soon so we can tell our friends where we are meeting. It will be a deciding factor for some of them I am sure. Any ideas?
Well you ladies have a super week...... thanks for showing up and sharing. Dawn

I can't speak for the others (though hopefully I didn't talk their ears off the whole time!) but I had a GREAT time meeting the gals this past Saturday! I believe we all found out we had much in common, and we even knew many of the same people.

I'm looking forward to learning about apron sewing and quilting from Julie, and about running a B&B, as well as doing watercolors, from Dawn... Michelle brought her daughter and next time, the gals are looking to bring other family members to join in as well.

I'm going to try to round up a few more friends for the June meeting and I hope the others will, too - we're looking at the SECOND SATURDAY in June, so anyone else who'd like to come out and play, mark that date on your calendar!

I'd like to suggest "Show & Tell" for a possible theme for the next meeting... bring current craft/art/farm project, as well as some pics of your critters! :) But whatever else anyone would like to do/discuss is fine by me. It was great just to hang out and have coffee and share a laugh or two.

THANKS, ladies!

Just letting you know, I won't be able to make that. If I get my oats in, I am hoping to go the the Shephards Harvest, by the cities. but field work comes first. Have fun.

Hi Ladies, going to keep an eye on what you have going on. I am over an hour away, to the north, but if I would get the chance, I would sure try to plan a trip to meet with you. If you would not mind a drop in! I know I can't come in May, but maybe sometime.
Have fun

I am planning on coming from the Foster/Augusta/Osseo area. Early afternoon would work best for me, as well as my friend Michelle, who plans on coming from Black River Falls.

Looking forward to meeting everyone! I need some coffee/knitting/off-farm time for sure! ;)

Thank you,
Stasia
