June, I'm sorry I missed your email!!! I don't know, my daughter is graduating that weekend so I am conflicted. I'd love to meet all the Ohio girls, but can't miss graduation! Please email me again, I'll watch for the message.

Brenda: Are you the gal that has a Chapter listed in the Mansfield area? It seems I tried to contact you via the MJ Chapter Search before, and never heard anything? You're not too far from here, would be neat to get together! You gonna make it to the Spring Fling at Dawn's? |

I tried to form a chapter in Southeastern Ohio, but it seemed to me that I was doing all the work. Sure enough when I quit planning everything, the group fell apart. We were mostly neighbors, but everyone was always so busy that things couldn't get coordinated without alot of effort. I really want to belong to a group like this to help me stay focused and to meet like minded women who will help me to understand "Why is it I want to live on a farm?"...lol. This forum is an excellent place to do that but sometimes I need the comfort of seeing a face and hearing a voice and seeing things done.

Okay, me thinks I've emailed everyone I can think of in Ohio. I'm planning on May 3 around 3 at my house. Dessert and tea. We will also be cutting paper bags. Bring your paper scissors! lol.... I'm just gonna go ahead and plan on it and if it turns out to be a party of one... then more dessert for me to eat!!

I had started a chapter-of-one when I first heard about Mary Jane's but didn't have enough farmgirls in the area to really have a chapter. I tried inviting other farmgirls who listed Ohio locations to a couple of events, including a tour of a local CSA farm and a trip to the State Fair, but no takers.
OK, that was quite a while ago! What's the interest level now?
deeredawn - thanks for the invitation - I work during the day, so anything I would attend would have to be evening or weekend - I googled Lexington to Nova and get 36 miles or 56 minutes (must be back roads!) that might be a little far for me to travel on a regular basis. But I would love to meet up with you I will check to see if I can get off work early on the 3rd.
I grew up on the Richland/Crawford county line and have a lot of contacts in Ontario/Crestline/Galion and Bucyrus areas - (Hi Kelli!) Any farmgirls over that direction interested in a get-together, please send me an email and we'll plan something - be it a potluck or a field trip!

May 3rd at my place around 3pm. Email me for directions, I will have dessert, coffee, tea etc. We will just see what we want out of a chapter and put ideas to paper. Sound good?

I have a chpater in Northeast Ohio. Its the Harvestthyme Farmgirls Chapter. i'm located about 10 minutes North of Ashland Ohio in Nova. I would LOVE to gather you all up for an in-promtu meeting at my house maybe on May 2 or 3? Please let me know what you all think. I'd like to get some ideas on paper as to what you'd like to get out of this chapter IF you decide to join and get to know you all better! Please email me and let me know. Hey Ohio girls... deeredawn is in the Ashland area, and she has a great event coming up at her place at the end of May.She is a chapter leader....if you go to the top of your screen and click on Members, type in deeredawn, you can email her.....
