Apron~ A few of us were chatting and thought it would be fun to mail out an apron with a Journal. The person recieving the Apron can write in the journal about an event where the apron was worn, or something that was going on when she had the apron~ then the Journal and the apron are mailed to someone else~ When it comes time for the Buggie, barter and Boogie in July 2009~ we can "read the journal"~ write about the event and then mail the apron and journal on to more farmgirls until our next big gathering where we can read it again~

If you are a farmgirl that gets the Apron and Journal and are a part of a chapter~ your chapter might want to meet and "read the journal"...

If you want to be on the mailing list~ leave your name here~ I have the Apron and Journal and it will leave Prosser sometime in the next week wont it be fun to read of its adventures~

Hay Ya'll, I'm bouncing this thread back to the top because I'm curious.... Where is the apron and the journal today. Is it bound for Dixie yet. Us farmgirls at the Poor House would like to have a visit if at all possible. I'm sure they have alot to tell by now. Anyone know where they are???

Hay Ya'll Well, has the apron been moving around? Where has she been recently and where is she now? Will she ever get to me in Alabama? I've been busy working on badges while I wait. You will be getting photos soon of the scare-crow for the garden and the new beehive here on the ranch. Can't wait til the apron and journal arrive!!!! Love and prayers, Sister Daizy

Well Patience is a virtue for sure. There are no set rules, no time limit.. just easy going.. the apron just visits until it is ready to move on... and thankfully it has always chosen to move on... :)

I would like to be on the list also, but it sounds like it takes a long time to get the apron and journal.

I, too, would like to get on the list for the traveling apron. Wisconsin would be a lovely visit for the traveling apron and journal.

I've only been a member since August 2009 - is it possible to get on the list for the traveling apron? I'm sure "she" would enjoy a visit to the beautiful Pocono Mountains of PA!!!

Thanks!

The apron is FINALLY on her way to Washington to visit "katmom"!!!
We can all look forward to hearing of her safe arrival katmom said that she will post photos (in keeping with the original plan).

(I'll also post a few photos as soon as I find out how to do it within this format)

Once again, my apologies to all for "derailing" the apron's journey, I'm sorry I let everyone down ... I am so relieved that she is back on track again!!! I look forward to following her new adventures.

Hay Ya'll If the apron and journal are no longer making the journey perhaps we should have a "SISTER" of each begin a NEW journey? What do you say....how long was it you saw them at the event, RubyJunes? Perhaps we could get the Queen Bee to start the journal? And maybe the first apron too. I would love the have one of Mary Janes aprons from her collection!!! She could even start with me and I could be the return address (the apron/jounals home farm). I don't really know how it works but sounds like something I would like to do.

Oh Sweet Farmgirls, I think that poor little apron may never find it's way around our sisterhood. I have been on the waiting list to see her since August of 2008! (see page 1)I am hopeful that she will find her way back to Miss Rene sooner or later and then maybe she can start her journey again. It is a sad shame we haven't heard more from her.

Well, here goes ... (I've been putting this off because I'm so embarrassed)

Wake up everyone ... I know you've all fallen asleep waiting for news from the traveling apron ... you remember her don't you? She's pretty and pink and was doing really well making her way around until she got to me. My apologies to each and every one of you ... I know I let you all down by having the apron here soooooo long. I've learned a lesson at your expense. There is a saying I've always liked: "Enjoy the little things for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things." But I guess I really didn't get it. I kept trying to plan "Big Things" for our little apron, something I thought "worthy" of the journal, none of that ever materialized, but I kept trying. In the meanwhile, our little apron went blueberry picking with Farmgirls, she has helped me make dinner, she has baked cookies with the kids, and helped with our honey harvest. I don't think she missed that "Big Thing" after all ... and neither did I. I have filled her with happy memories of simple blessings - what more could you hope for (except that I could've done it faster!!) So, please forgive me for taking so long with our apron, but I think she had to stay here long enough to teach me this lesson. She is alive and well and more than ready to move on to Washington to see "katmom" (I've sent Grace an e-mail to ask for her address).
Once again, I am really sorry.
Wishing you all a very blessed Christmas!
With love,
Tracey (aka "the apron hog" oink, oink)

Yea, when the raspberries are on, it's a full time job in itself! The birds only eat a small portion of them because we have a sour cherry tree that comes on at the same time and they prefer the cherries. I only get a few of those, lol.
