Posted - Mar 10 2008 : 11:53:41 AM I just started a Farmgirl chapter in my hometown. Currently there are only 3 of us but we are working to get it going. Got any ideas on what I can do to publicize it and get the word out and get more members? How do I start the traveling journal? And, should I be getting a free kit soon? I never did hear anything when I signed up in MJF. I'm new at all of this so please help if you can! Thanks!

Posted - Mar 24 2008 : 07:06:05 AM Thanks ladies! I did get the kit in the mail about a week ago. I've got about 5 or 6 ladies from church signed up. My mother in law is going to help me advertise so we're going to sit down and figure out ways to do that and we hope to have our first meeting with our chapter some time in April. I'm excited about this! All of the women who have joined so far all have unique crafting abilities and a lot to offer to the chapter that will make it a great group! Thanks gals!

Posted - Mar 11 2008 : 6:56:07 PM Hi Ladies!
Congrats on the new chapters! If you haven't heard from the farm within, say, 2 weeks from signing up, you can contact them either via email at iris@maryjanesfarm.org or via phone 1-208-882-6819.
Also, to get the word out, Tasha came up with a great press release that you could tack up on bulletin boards around town or even to your local newspaper. The press release is found here: http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/snitz/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=14998

Posted - Mar 11 2008 : 5:43:04 PM Congrats on your new chapter! You will get a kit in the mail within a week or so. It has some gift cards, bumper stickers, certificates, and copies of one of the first journals that went around. as far as advertising your chapter, how about places you frequent like the bulletin boards of grovery stores, the library, church, etc.... I hope you have fun and enjoy your chapter!
