Posted - Feb 02 2008 : 07:35:34 AM For those official and non-official Farmgirl Blessings Chapter members, we will be having a fun day at Polka Dot Pottery on Pines in the Valley on March 1st (Saturday) at 10 am. I need to know early how many can come so we can reserve the tables. It is a really fun place, where you go and paint your own pottery and then in about two weeks you go pick up the finished kiln-fired project. They can be as loud or subdued as you like. Mine was done in primitive country colors and other ladies did some really wild ones. I did a platter and the cost was $40.00. So this gives you an idea on cost. I will also pick up and bring back Panini sandwiches from a nearby place called Victorias that has incredible sandwiches (or if you would prefer to "sack lunch" it, that is fine too.) The cost for lunch with a soft drink is about $9.00 or $10.00.
Anyway, it is a really fun day . . . being creative and social all at once. Let me know so I can reserve the space!
Hugs & blessings,
Brenda

Posted - Feb 20 2008 : 10:25:42 PM Yes, Polka Dot Pottery is on Pines and about 3rd or 4th. So just head South on Pines, pass Sprague and look for it on your right. It is painted brightly and says Polka Dot Pottery. So Grace, dear, assuming you don't drink too many "morning martinis" or stick to many foreign objects in your phone (inside joke!) even you should be able to find it! LOL!
Julia I so hope you can come. I sent you an email a few days ago. Hope all is well. So at this point it looks like it is MaryJane, Megan, Alee, Amanda and her daughter, Julia, Grace and myself. Did I hear Heather and her daughter were also coming? I am just trying to come up with an approximate head count for them. Panini's and Pottery! Should be a perfectly pleasing positive party!

Posted - Feb 04 2008 : 7:12:18 PM Wow! I am so excited so many of you can come! Being the trouble starter that I am, they now have a satin glaze. Before it was all high-gloss, which just didn't work for a country girl like me! LOL! So they have special ordered it and have assured me they will now keep it stocked.
MaryJane, though I was sad we missed connecting last week, I certainly understood. I had to hire a plow to even get in to my little shop! I am so glad you and Meg will be coming! Email me and we can figure out particulars if you want to stop in at my shop sometime over the weekend, etc. I would be happy to open it for a certain Queen Bee if she wants!
So glad we will have a good show! Judy, we will miss you . . . what if we played Celtic music?!! Would that sway you? LOL!
Hogs & quiches (sorry . . . I still have to sneak my old sign off in every now and then!)

Posted - Feb 02 2008 : 09:28:14 AM Dearest Brenda,
We were so sad to have missed coming to your new shop last week. But given the amount of snow we ended up getting, I think we dodged some potentially fatal bullets by staying home!
This is my daughter's favorite thing to do--ceramics, well besides scrapbooking, mail art, embroidery and STELLA!!! Oh, and her hubby's basketball games (he is the high school girl's basketball coach this year and they are going to state!).
Can you put the two of us down? I need to get up there for some photos as well and will probably spend the weekend in Spokane. We look forward to spending some creative time with you! Thanks for pulling this together for us "official" Farmgirl Blessings Chapter members!
