Posted - Dec 21 2007 : 4:34:33 PM I too would like to start collecting Sisterhood Numbers from other farmgirls.
This too is a "one on one" swap...if you would like to swap numbers with me please let me know.
My only requirements are that you end up with at least a 6X6 block of fabric. If the fabric if bigger that is ok. But the patch/design/number should be no bigger then 5 1/2 X 5 1/2. This will give me more then enough seam allowance to piece them all to gether.
You can hand embroider or machine embroider, use fabric pens, gel pins, paper piece, anything that is washable. You can put your name and or state on it. Maybe make it with your favorite color or fabric. Add buttons. What ever is you.
As for deadlines...Let me know when you have it made and we will swap addresses via email and swap with each other.
Come on and join the fun. What better way to get to know other Farm Girls then with a swap.
I thought of something last night...If you want my block to you to be a different size, let me know. But the blocks you are sending me are to have an image area of no bigger then 5 1/2 x 5 1/2. The fabric should be no smaller then 6 X 6.

Posted - Feb 05 2008 : 4:38:40 PM Autumn, I received your block the other day. I love it! I need to look into printing on fabric. Sorry it took so long for me to post. I am sooo busy at work. I come home eat dinner and fall asleep in the living room while "simply quilts" watches me. I am almost done with some blocks. They will all be a little different from each other. Its 7:30pm here. Time for a cup of tea and a cookie. While I am waiting for the water to heat up I will see if I missed anything here on the farm. ta ta for now.

Posted - Dec 27 2007 : 11:06:27 AM Hey Kathy,
If you want to be in the other topic for the "Open Sisterhood Number Swaps" just go over to that topic and reply and post the size squares and other details and you can always go back to edit that same reply to add the names of the members that want to swap with you. Then you can keep track of everyone and also add the individual deadlines that y'all set.
Any postings that you make will include an "edit" option..it's a small icon and looks like a pencil. Click on that and you can add to or take away info from any of your posts then save the change.
Hope that helped, Stephanie Farmgirl Sister #22

Posted - Dec 26 2007 : 09:17:31 AM Donna, Autumn and Karin..thank you for swapping with me.
Vanessa, that might be a good idea but I don't know how to move my information into another thread. Also, who would host that swap?

Posted - Dec 22 2007 : 06:56:18 AM We have 2 threads regarding 1 on 1 swaps and 1 thread on a group swap going.
Is there a way to have one thread with all names & info on it who want to do a 1 on 1 swap and then another thread for those who want to do group swaps?
Maybe it's just me being on overload, but to have everyone in one location would be so much easier. Specifics for sizing, etc. could then be given by each sister.

Posted - Dec 22 2007 : 05:18:23 AM Donna, There is no set start date. I am going to start working on a number of blocks this weekend while I am cooking. Remember there is no due date either. When you have your block to me completed email me and we exchange addresses and mail them to each other via usps (snailmail) OK?
