Since I like the idea of a quilt, but work better in a group swap (as others do too,) I thought I would start this swap, be the swap mama and give everyone ample time.
I am going to limit the swap to 40 women so we have a decent size lap quilt.
Since I enjoy abstracts, I think it would be fun to choose your block size make make it multiples of 3, so a 3x3 block, or a 6x6 block or 9x9 you get it, but no bigger than 9x9 make sure that you add 1/2 inch seam allowance and just have fun with it!
I am going to start the numbering at 20 participants but will add more as interest dictates.
You have through the January 31 to sign up and then you have three months to finish your blocks, having them to me by April 30 with 9.00 for shipping back to you (ship price may lower depending on how many actually sign up, but I don't see it going over 9.00.) I think 3 months is ample time as now we are entering into the hunker down months of wintertime.

Tasha- Do we still only have 6 gals- well 7 if you add me? I am ready to start on something I think but I would love to have an idea of how many of us there are...should we adjust by making three squares for each person?

Rebekka-yep. you'll make one block per participant. I am granting a huge amount of time so that no one feels stressed about getting it done. ETA:also its a sisterhood thing, not a chapter thing...
