Hi Ladies,

I started this chapter back in the spring, and unfortunately I've never had time to organize anything and get the group actively growing and getting together.

I wonder if anyone else would like to take over as chapter leader? It's a responsibility I just don't think I can take on anymore, and I feel bad for letting this sit on the back burner for so long. But with so many great farmgirls in Chicago, don't let me be a hindrance!

Just to put this on the record, Amanda, Deb and I are talking about starting a community garden/food farm in Chicago. Send me an e-mail if you're interested.

I signed up to be a member of the Chicago Urban Farmgirls chapter when I first joined MJF forum. I'd love to help out anyway I can.

Teamwork- farmgirls putting their heads together to get things done! Way to go. I am here to help if needed. Eventhough you may have your hands full now- I am certain that they'd love to have you as a member Deb.

Possibly....

But not until after February for me. I'm organizing a Daddy/Daughter dance for 500 people right now and have my hands full.

What a nice idea, Jill! I think it's great when farmgirls work together to make something happen!

I had been looking for a chapter for Chicago and the North / North west Suburbs. I even requested my own chapter leader packet under "Barn Dance Society". I had spoken with a fellow farm girl in Glenview who was trying to make connections to start a Glenview Chapter. It seems that there is longing for the community of a chapter, but difficulty in getting things off the ground and moving. Amanda, if you are still interested in getting something going, please email me through the farmgirl connection, and maybe, with two of us working together, we can use the list of names I've collected so far and get something off the ground. We may not be able to make something happen until January, but if you would like, we can try together.

I wasn't born in a barn, but I was raised in one.

Good luck to you, Amanda. Hope someone else in your area can step up...
