Posted - Aug 03 2005 : 5:07:45 PM Our first official Farm Girl Chapter meeting! I've just in the past few months gotten to know a gal from church, and found we are kindred spirits. It has been a joy to get to know her, and the more time we spend together, the more we find we have in common. Even tho there is almost a 20 year age difference (me being the wiser, older one!!!!), we are more like sisters than mother/daughter. We had purchased a blue rooster toille tablecloth at a garage sale a few weeks ago for $1.00, and used it to freeform aprons for the two of us! (we both are apron kind of gals...wear them all around the house, and have even been known to wear a cute one to the flea market!!) I brought stuff for lunch (she has 4 kids 11 and under, and I brought my 13 yod), the kids played in the pool, and we set to creating! We came up with totally unique, one of a kind aprons, but more importantly, a totally unique time of fellowship between two believers in the same Lord, Jesus Christ!! It doesn't get any better than this!!!
