Just a question to put out there about what we are made of. So I ask you ladies at your next Farmgirl Chapter meeting to come up with a definition of what fabric a Farmgirl is made of. How many different threads are there to what makes our fabric? I'd love to see what lovely tapestry we all are.

Michelle I had missed this post- but you are so very right. I have found my deepest support through one of the toughest times in my life from the farmgirls here. What amazing fabric we are!

What about heart strings? Give it a quirky texture, depending on what image you have, and we are definitely connected that way as we read each other's difficulties and try to help each other through.

We make a difference.

What about a colorful variegated thread? We are all unique, but can work so well together!

DENIM.

Tough, stands up to hard work, but can be fancied up with some embroidery or lace trim!

What about burlap? Kinda loosly woven- but very functional.
Hard-working but practical? What do you think?

I know one common thread that we all share: Love!

oh and dirt- as in love of and love of things that come from it! :)

I see it says fabric, sorry, I must have missed the Que! We are silk in that not only is it pretty, and soft to the touch, it is durable and can last a lifetime.

Do you know that although linen is cool and pretty, it is very strong! The breezes can blow through, the crisp loveliness can show, the light weight does not burden, but it is natural and lasts! I want to be white linen!

I'm not in a chapter, but my first thought is Hope. We must have hope in our lives in order to keep going.

who says Farmgirls aren't elegant

I have not gone, as yet, and have been invited to, a meeting. I will say that, to quote a movie title, True Grit, would be the one. Dedicated for sure, without that you might as well forget it. LOL

I have another one - flannel - because we're nurturers.

Since we are strong women=thread of steel. We also have compassion and a passion for all things in our life. MB

Excellent! You are so right! Love that Sherri.

So ladies our first thread is of steel. What else are we? What makes up our farmgirl fabric?
