Hello Oregon Farm Girls!!!

I sent out an email to all the N. Oregon Farmgirls that I have email addresses for, but have only heard back from a couple of you so I thought I'd post it here as well.

If you weren't sent an email, please don't feel left out. That just means I didn't have your email address. If you would like to join us, just let me know. The more the merrier!

Are we all still wanting to get together at my place on May 26th for a Potluck at 12 noon?

WHERE: My little farm...out between Molalla & Silverton, Oregon

POTLUCK: Just bring your favortie dish. I'm not going to fuss about who brings what. Life is too short for that. If we end up with all deserts well then It'll be a good day. I'll make some sort of main dish and drinks (tea, lemonade, etc...).

ACTIVITIES: Catch up on all things FarmGirl and meet some of the animals at our place. If there's anything that you would like to share with the group, please do so. This could be anything from a scarf you made or gardening tips you've found helpful....etc... Are there things that you would like to know how to do that another FarmGirl might be able to help you with or vise versa? For instance....I can knit....a little...but can't for the life of me figure out how to crochet. Ultimately at some point, I would like to know how to crochet in a round so I can make a rag rug. Any of you crochet? Also, I'm open to ideas if anyone has an activity that you think would be fun for us to do that would be great!!!

Please let me know if you'll be able to attend and if you have any questions on how to get here. I'm looking forward to getting together again!

Thanks Libbie but I don't think there's anything for you to do. Well, perhaps if Mary Jane herself came by....then maybe everyone would make the time. I think everyone is just too busy for a get together. I only heard back from a total of 3 people though. We'll just try again some other time maybe.

Well FarmGirls...due to a lack of response from the email I sent and to this post...I'm going to go ahead and cancel the get together planned for the 26th.

I'm sorta bummed about this. Maybe another time.

Well Anne - so far it's just you and I. I haven't heard back from any of the other gals that I emailed yet.

I made your Blintz recipe for my Aunt's 50th B-day party yesterday and of course....it was AWESOME!!! Thanks for sharing that recipe!

I just got a start of rhubarb yesterday from my Aunt but it's not ready to be picked. What else can you do with it other than stawberry rhubarb pie?

I only planted 3 tomato plants this year as last year I had WAY too many. 2 are heirloom and one is a cherry. I'm going to try and save some seeds from the 2 heirloom if they're any good.

So happy you can make it!

Carla -

Looks like I can make it. Like I said, I have tomato plant starts to bring to share with the girls, fresh rhubarb that is ready to pull, so I can bring a big bag of that and I will bring food too. I am there.

Come on all of your Northern Oregon girls - this can be so much fun!!!
