Posted - Oct 22 2026 : 2:27:39 PM For this merit badge I have learned to freeze tomatoes a better way. Usually I blanch them put them in an ice badge, peel then freeze tomatoes for soups and stews BUT I like this way….,simply put tomatoes in a ziplock bad and freeze. When you need a tomato for soups or other dish, put them out on a plate and thaw. This will make the tomato really easy to peel Cook and eat I just thought I would share Tina

Posted - Oct 27 2026 : 05:31:37 AM I always put them in boiling water to pop the skin and peel. Such a messy job. Thanks for the tip Tina!
