Posted - Apr 24 2007 : 4:15:46 PM LOL Okay, I'm Looking forward to it...myopically speaking. I was at a pageant the other day for local high school kids, and it occurred to me that 1) I'd never make a good judge, they were all so talented and 2) we all have crowns, but most of us have the invisible kind. Sparkle sparkle sparkle.

Posted - Apr 23 2007 : 10:00:48 PM We all need to feel "spoiled" once in awhile....sounds like your family had fun spoiling you.... Besides, birthdays are the perfect days to be spoiled & feel like a princess, whether it is just for a few minutes, hours or entire day. oh, and when I move up to Spokane, I'll bring your glasses...LOL! tata-4-now

Posted - Apr 22 2007 : 10:22:15 AM What a great day! (I wore my contacts...Grace, you must have my glasses!) Went antiquing at a "new to me" shop and met new friends, out to dinner at my favorite Jazz restaurant, then to a bookstore where my DH tricked me while I was distracted. I was so caught up, I didn't even expect his trick...he got me good.
Finally, I got around to the point and couldn't find MaryJane's Ideabook. I asked for help, and the clerk checked his computer and said, "Sorry, we just sold the last one." DH was sad too, "Oh, honey." Bookstores aren't his cup of tea, and I didn't want to ask to go to another one.
Then, DH pulled out a bag and said, "I bought the last one, happy birthday!" What a guy. :)
Ate some Ben N Jerry's Cherry Garcia on the way home. I didn't know you could buy it in little single-serve packages, guess I'm really out of touch sometimes. Then we watched a great movie...Lady in the Water...about hope and mythmaking.
Today we're going to do the whole-family celebration by going out to Bugs on Broadway...they'll show Bugs Bunny cartoons while the symphony actually plays the score. I'm so very lucky to have a great family and great farmgirl friends.
I hope the other April birthday ladies are celebrating too! I feel spoiled! I could just cry. :)
We make a difference. |

Posted - Apr 21 2007 : 10:59:34 AM Thank you for the sunshine and well-wishes. Had a bummer of a week, but I'll choose to focus on the positive. Thank you, thank you. Also had a RAOK this week, hooray! And, now that I'm ...the age I am, I can write off ever even thinking of trying to wear a short skirt. What a gift! One "if only" I'm happy to see disappear! Can't garden, hike, play, etc. in one anyway. But, just in case someone suggests I give it a try, I have a great excuse not to.
I also lost my glasses and just had to laugh. I've reached the age where I lose my glasses. That was a surprise gift, and not so much fun as giving up short skirts. Let me know if you find my glasses... the world is softer and more romantic without seeing clearly... but I'd miss clearly seeing pollen-dusted hairs on bumblebees.
Happy birthday Farmgals!
