Yes, frannie, thrifting with Nancy Jo would be the best birthday! Then we could go junking with Wilma! :) And then eat one of Jonni's wonderful pies!! Sounds like the perfect day. :)

jonni, 30 was a tear jerker to me as well. i dont remember why, but i do think i cried quite a bit, too. i wish all you gals were here with me too, but i think we would go thrifting with nancy jo for my birthday and i would learn from the best!

I only wish I could be there with you to share your day, Fran. I know it's a challenge--and those "milestone" birthdays can make us feel pretty wonky (believe me, I cried ALL the way through 30) but you will persevere, and we're here for you, always!

thank you so much for thinking of me.
i have to admit, this birthday has been a challenging one, and i am really trying hard to beat off the "blues".
this birthday is the big "60", and while it is just a number, i am a little weary over all that the last couple of years have brought me.
woke up this morning and i had many well wishes on facebook from my hometown and maryjanes farm friends and even an email from across the big waters from our very own nance in france.
so even though i have had a very challenging year, (okay, couple of years) i am still keeping on and i know that in part it is because of the wonderful women on this site.
thank you jonni for posting this thread, i really needed it!
you farmgirl friends are the best. love from texas and thanks for all you do.
