MBurns- Yay we share the same bday. Mine is also the 29th.
Though I'm a FL gal, school was always out so I never got those parties in class with cupcakes and everyone was always on vacation so I didnt have parties. Just family. I was however spoiled. Rarely did I get Merry Christmas/Happy Bday gifts.
Our family December is quite tough as well.
Sister-7th
BIL-8th
Nephew-9th
Christmas-25
Mine-29
Sister-31
And then starts the year with many more b-days
LOL, that is why I plan to get married in April. No birthdays.
Learning to appreciate having a glass..not half full or empty..just thankful for a glass :) |

My birthday is tomorrow and I get the day off from work. YAY! I work from home, but I don't have to log on to my remote work PC. YAY!
Now... it is December and I have yet been 'able' or 'allowed' to decorate for Christmas. Hubby says that is out of the question. We have to wait until my birthday is over and THEN we can decorate. Well, gee, I'm glad I didn't come on the 21st when I was supposed to or I'd be stressing out about decorating at the last minute! So, after tomorrow, the 8th, I can decorate to my heart's content. And while I'm on this topic, I figure to let y'all know that since I was born in December, my mother named me Kristen Carol... you know.... Christmas Carol? Clever gal she was!

Mine is the 29th and always received christmas and birthday gifts together at christmas parties with family. Winters in Iowa are bad so usually my birthday was bad weather so could not celebrate.
The last few years my son was stationed in Florida where of course weather is nice and I celebrated with his family. Happy Birthday to all the farmgirls with December birthdays!

December birthdays are tough!!!
We REALLY complicated our December:
My parents anniversary was the 7th (they are both gone now)
Our son, Jeremy, has his birthday on the 12th
(My BD on the 17th)
My in-laws anniversary is the 19th
CHRISTMAS on the 25th
Our wedding anniversary on the 28th (41st this year)
Our daughter and son-in-law have a wedding anniversary on the 31st.
So, by the time we get to New Years Day we're done partying!!!

I think it is pretty common for December babies..... yea, not necessarily sad, just "is".... SO I think you need to celebrate it in July :)

Well... I never got a birthday party. My mother told me that no one would come with all the snow on the ground. We opened our Christmas presents on the evening of the 24th. My presents always said "Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday" on the same present. Nobody acknowledged my birthday when the day came. So, I always felt a little cheated. To this day I haven't really celebrated my birthday. I know this sounds sad...but really it's no big deal.

Julie~ 47... Me too... but on the 26th.. wow.. I thought it was bad to have a birthday on the 17th of December.. but the 26th? How has that been? I think that those of us that are December babies should get an extra celebration in JULY just to counter act the whole "being in the shadows" of Christmas... Don't you think?
Oh, hey.. Send me your addresses and I will send you a birthday card in July :).. well a half birthday card... cuz we are getting old fast enough... :)

Hey.... Mine is Decebember 17th... Not sure how I keep getting missed.. I thought I have signed in on that list more than once... but, knowing me I got it wrong somehow.... So on the 17th send me some encouraging thoughts to help me get over that "HILL".. the big 47....Yikes!
