Thanks for the BD wishes and you can eat my piece of cake, Grace! I am 6# closer to my goal.....29 to go by Sept. I got slammed with pollen allergies so I am feeling lousy and staying home today (BD) I will celebrate next weekend. Hope everyone has a nice Easter!

Hello Everyone, I have not been on for a long time. I lost my husband to untreatable kidney cancer the 23rd of March and am trying to find my way back from over a year of watching him suffer terrible pain. We had out 52nd wedding Anniversary on February 2nd (Yes Groundhogs Day) and we made it through that but it sure wasn't the celebration we wanted. My birthday is Monday, April 13th and it is also our granddaughter's (Samantha) and our daughter (Laurie) was the 6th. Also my mother-in-law's was the 13th too. I always joked that I only married my hubby because I wouldn't have to worry about forgetting my Mom-in-law's birthday. Anyway hope all the April birthdays are wonderful and thank goodness spring is almost here and I will be able to get outside and work on flowers and bird things. Take care everyone and enjoy the time you have with your loved ones. You can't bring it back so love and cherish while you can. I know we did. Betty from Nebraska

I guess I am just going to have to have your piece of my birthday cake - Angelfood Cake with 7 minutes frosting. It is a tuff job but I will do it for another farmgirl...

I sure have been giving me great gifts. First there was the air stream trailer earrings in sterling silver from an etsy artist. Then I purchased a great vintage red tin sewing box, some 1930's vintage sewing fabric, a wonderful vintage kitchen towel, a TV series called "Dead Like Me" makes me laugh so hard and I made my angel food cake with 7 minute frosting.... Life is sweet and now I am going outside to give kisses to all my new goat babies - Enjoy the day Birthday Girls....

Grace, we don't need an excuse for chocolate cake, do we? Happy birthday farmgirls. Good to know about the ones that aren't listed yet too. Extra happy birthday! This year I will try to give myself the gift of not worrying about my photos and just being happy to BE. Bee? :)
Have you started giving yourself "gifts" yet? Like the poem of the woman who would wear more purple, go barefoot earlier in the spring and stay that way later in the fall, eat more icecream and fewer beans, etc... Be so good to yourself!

Happy Birthday Fellow April Gal's.
I will get to turn 50 on April 10 and I can not believe I will be a half a century. Life is sweet when you live on a farm and my best birthday present this year is my 21 year old Angora Goat gave birth to a sweet little girl and is taking care of her. This is the first time in five years she has taken care of her own baby - guess she thought it would be the perfect gift for this old farm gal....
Enjoy the month ladies and count our blessings, we are here to celebrate one more year
