Happy Birthday Sue! Hope your day is special and sweet! Did Dh bake you a birthday treat? Celebrate and have fun with family and friends! And share some cake with your favorite hens! BlueEggBabe deserves the BEST! Hope your little surprise will help feather your nest! So much for my bad poetry....

If I keep a green bough in my heart, the singing bird will come.

No worries, Michele....
I celebrate for at least a week or longer.
... or until my family can't tolerate me any longer.

Junebug,
Thanks so much for the thoughtful card and sweet little needle packet inside. Going to Buffalo, NY with the hockey team this weekend and plan to sew on some embroidered patches during the 7 hour bus trip.

Thanks so much for all the Birthday Wishes!
Julie and Turnip Girl, tonight the tiramasu was made with big thick slices of sponge cake instead of lady fingers. After the layers of sweet cheese, liqueur, grated chocolate, they finish it off with espresso powder and chocolate curls.oh my!!
Kim, Thank you! yes, Such a lovely Birthday card..you are a gem!
And Clare, I got your sweet farmbaby postcard today as well!! Meadowlark, you are so very thoughtful!! Thank you again and again!!
Julie Swell, Im glad you got the package fine...oh, do enjoy my fave girl songbirds and please share with Erik Birdcatz. He would like to see.
I will end my birthday with a closing poem.....

It's so late, past time for bed
but Im still full of garlic bread.
Parmesans of shrimp and chicken,
the sauce was just dang finger-lickin'
Pasta,wine and escarole
oh, how shared food so feeds my soul.
A lovely night, with loved ones spent
I 'll close my eyes and sigh content,
yes,grateful for another year
and for all my sisters who gather here...

I call shotgun Meadowlark, tiramisu is a dessert made with ladyfingers dipped in a coffee-liqueur, then layered with mascarpone cheese and grated chocolate. YUMMMMMMMM I made it for MaryJane a few years ago when she had a death in the family, didn’t know the family was Mormon, so the liqueur flavored dessert didn’t go over to well. Just meant lots of leftovers !!!

Sue darlin’, the video’s came today!!! Thanks so much, we are planning a movie watching night as we speak…Can’t wait to see Nancy Griffin in her little bobbie socks, think I’ll wear mine tomorrow to get in the mood, maybe even a little dancing on the red brick floor. You must have read my mind with the other CD's, Gillian Welch, love her..Joni Mitchell, love her more. Have you heard her latest, 'Both Sides Now',it's awesome.

Psst BlueEggBabe....gotta surprise for you too...Just wait..cackled over the card.

Love ya and enjoy every kind word today, for it is YOUR day girlfriend.

Turnip Truck Rider wants to know what tiramasu is??? Sounds like it is slavic in origin, but must be decadent in taste!

My Goodness, Gals, Thank you!
I am having a right lazy day and I can't say that too often!
No Cake, Meadowlark.... but tonight we'll all go out to dinner with some friends to a favorite Italian haunt, maybe a little wine, maybe a little song, maybe a little Tiramasu for Eggs o' Blue!
Thanks so much for thinking of me.......
