I puppy sat and also dog sat & rabbit sat this weekend. 3 reg size schnauzers and a puppy, mini-schnauzer (about 4 mo old, give or take) and she got really ill. I couldn't get the owners cause their cell phones were out of range and so the owner's mom & dad came and got the poor pooch. She probably had eaten something and gotten a blockage. She was so miserable. I felt so very bad. I am glad that she no longer suffers. Poor thing. I'm kinda glad the family was gone because they didn't have to see her suffer. It was terrible. They have a girl almost 8, who will just be heartbroken!!!!!

I think for the most part I was in shock. I have seen dogs get sick, but it's been awhile since I have seen one die. And anything dying, whether human or animal is a different level of suffering. When there isn't anything you can do, it makes you feel incredibly sad.

That had to be so hard to deal with! It's never easy to watch another creature suffer.
