Hello Everyone,
Because we enjoyed it so much in the past, several of us have banned together to revive the ROAK list! I know you're EXCITED! We are!
So...here's the scoop!
For those new to this, ROAK stands for Random Acts Of Kindness. That's right, in this "trade" you will RANDOMLY suprise other farmgirls with any act of kindness you might think of! This might include a card or small gift in the mail, a note of encouragement or prayer, a phone call, or even home baked goodies delivered to their door! Farmgirls know that little things mean a lot! Farmgirls seem to enjoy swapping things they have on hand or find inexpensively, so everyone can participate! Your're limited only by your imagination!
The list will be open to everyone. To join you will need to send me a private message that includes your name, address, forum name, and phone number (if you'd like to receive calls). You also need to list your special likes, dislikes, collections, and PLEASE list any allergies you might have!
If you were part of the ROAK list in the past, please send your information again, saying you'd like to be included this time around. The deadline to sign up is April 12th, 2007. Shortly after, you will receive the list through e-mail and you can get started! Please remember to write "ROAK" on anything you send in the mail to identify yourself as a Farmgirl!
You will receive a list of all those participating, but by no means must you do something for everyone on the list. Your acts will be random, as you feel led! You might find the perfect book, or recipe to share with one person, and chat on the phone with another. I have found Farmgirls to be very warm and generous, so please do remember a word of thanks for any kindness shown!

Yes, the second list will be sent to Rhonda who will forward it to you guys, and I'll send the first list to the folks on list 2.
As for the confusion - the list got so BIG that Rhonda had to shorten the deadline. Don't despair. There is a second list (which is now being shared with all.)
In the future, it might be wise to limit the lists to a set number and just create additional lists as needed, but keep them separate.
We're going to share both lists with everyone this time, but I have some reservations about the manageability of this. My concern is that someone is going to get overlooked and not receive anything at all.
However, I'm often proven wrong, so we'll see how it goes.
REMEMBER - if you want to sign up, send your information to me please and do so BEFORE April 13th! On that date, we will close the second list.

Ahhhh! Seems I have created a monster! I'm sorry to confuse everyone, I really tried to do a good job.  To clarify... I offered to start a new RAOK list, and I did originally post an April 12th deadline. I got an overwhelming response, so I then updated the post to say "sign up fast", as I was going to stop taking names. I really did't want to leave anyone out... and SINCERELY apologize if anyone felt bad or was hurt.
ERIN!!! Bless you for stepping in to moderate a number 2 list! How about this...? If you missed the first signup, send Erin (bluewrenn) your information and she will compile another list. After she gets THAT list ready, she & I can swap lists and send both out to everyone. Will that work? Erin. Erin? I will send any new requests that come my way on to Erin.
Frannie, I will be happy to send you a "hard copy" in the mail!
And I DO apologize for the confusion! Thanks Everyone.

Ok I am so confused. Why was this list already sent. The deadline I thought was April 12. Did I miss read something. I'll start a second RAOK list... (I'm still on list one but will moderate the RAOK 2 list...)
Anyone who missed out on the first list should send their name, screen name, email addy and mailing addy to erinosmith@hotmail.com.
Please also include a paragraph or so about what your hobbies/interests are, what sorts of things you collect and any dislikes or allergies. Just something that gives us an idea of who you are and what sort of stuff you like.
I'll wait one week then send out the list.

Hello RAOK peeps! Since finishing and sending out the list, I have been getting emails asking to be added to the RAOK. It makes me feel terrible to turn folks away.
Is there anyone out there who might be willing to start another list? Or are there any suggestions on another way to do this? Amending the list could be a full time job! Thanks ladies!
