Posted - Jan 29 2007 : 07:41:38 AM Today I found two old feed sacks in the bottom of a cabinet. Both once held 96 lbs. of race horse oats. They are old and have stains but are in one piece and look very vintage. Both have a design of a horse on the front. One has a little box of text with instructions on how to remove the ink from the bag, which I thought was interesting.
The brands are: J.T. Gibbons Best from New Orleans, La. and Speed King from the Adrian Grain Co. in Adrian, Michigan.
If there are any collectors of vintage feed sacks on this site, do you want to swap something?

Posted - Jan 29 2007 : 12:17:10 PM Great Clare - I will send them to you first, before you choose to send something to me, and you can see if they are usable for you. I just do not want to throw them away!
I cannot email from this site because of my computer, so will you email me your address for sending?
I love fabric, cookbooks, anything, but really you can have them for nothing if you like them!
