My apologies for keeping you waiting. I've spent most of my time in the bathroom since Tuesday afternoon. This 24 hr bug likes me so well it's stayed 3 days so far! I have the boxes lined up and the starter can go in the bags anytime, so plan to have everything ready and mailed Monday. And yes, I am washing with soap and hot water every time to kill any germs :) Sorry to keep you waiting.

Jo, have two children...Lori, from first marriage is 44 (yikes, how can that be?) and Jerry is 32 from second marriage. Lori's son Tyler is 16. Kids were quite hateful when this all happened..but our respective spouses said we were meant to be together and fairly good about it. Kids came around, realized Larry isn't all that bad, despite what his younger brother told them. One of the few things I hate is hateful people and little brother is so hateful..but that's another story.
I worked today, but more than my usual far behind at home...if I ever catch up, won't know how to act!

Wow, that's a pretty neat story...do you have kids or grandkids to tell?

It's not as romantic as Nance's love story. We married when I was two days past 16 and he was 19, I divorced him the end of '69. I was in the process of moving back to NV from SoCA to take care of his 90 yr old mother when he came to see her; first time in 10 yrs. One look and both of us realized the love was still there. Both of us remarried twice and had been married for 15 yrs, but two divorces later, we remarried, 26 yrs to the day of when we divorced. We hadn't seen each other for 24 of those 26 years, though I stayed close with his mother. She didn't live to see us remarry, but knew we were together again. Just meant to be for us to be together. I told him to be damn sure he wanted to marry me again, cause I wouldn't divorce him again. Might kill him, but won't divorce him :) Funny, when we split up the first time, the deputy sheriff in town (very very small town) told me I should have shot him, all they'd do was slap my hand. Glad I didnt take that advice!!! So here we are, 11 years later and counting :)

Only fair!!!

I used to say I had to get really sick or divorced to lose weight..well, I'm not going to divorce my first and last husband again, so guess I'll have to go another route than sick to lose the weight! darnit!

Oh Ronna..I hope you are better really soon. I sure feel like it would be only fair that when you are so sick you should GET to lose at least 20 lbs. Only fair!!! It never happens for me though. take care of you!!!

Thanks for all the good vibes, they must be helping! Mother would give us gingerale when we had upset tummies...only time we were allowed any soda and to this day, I can't stand it :) If I had some 7 up, I would probably drink it. Don't have any acidolphulis. Since it's only the ''lower end'' upset, I've really tried to let it get out of my system on it's own. At times, I've had to take Lomotil or such, but always wonder what happens to that bad stuff that's still in me when I stop the process. I'm keeping water and tea flowing, know from my history of kidney problems not to get dehydrated. Spent a week in the hospital when I was pregnant with my daughter due to that and haven't forgotten...even though it's been more than 44 years. What I don't understand is why I haven't lost 20 pounds :)

Get to feeling better Ronna!
I wonder how acidolphulus might help? Also kaopectate is good.
Keep hydrated. Gingerale helps to sooth the stomach too if you start feeling dehydrated.

Yuck! I had that about 2 weeks ago. I went to the doctor and got a phenergran shot that day and was MUCH better! Mine only lasted about three days (only threw up the first day though). I hope you get better soon!

Dear Ronna, You are in my prayers for a speedy recovery. I had that darn bug for an entire weekend - the same weekend that my dh broke his leg! - in early December! What a mess we were in! Our youngest son who now lives almost an hour away, came and stayed and took care of us for a couple of days until I could at least stay out of the bathroom and drag myself out of bed to look after my poor hubby! Take care.
