Hubby and I are trying for #2...and they way I've been feeling the last few days I think we may have been successful. Anyhoo....looking to become a stay at home mom so I want to go completely cloth with this little one.
Thanks! |

Posted - Jan 29 2007 : 10:24:02 AM I highly recommend http://www.freecycle.org for things like this. I've given away nieces/nephew clothes in several different towns using freecycle. And i just asked for a printer and had three offers in one day.

Posted - Jan 29 2007 : 08:53:42 AM Hello, there. I used the regular diaper service cloth diapers, folded into thirds and placed inside a plastic cover that velcroed closed. They were wonderful. The diapers made it through both kids, but none left over now. The covers wore out after each one, but so worth it. It was much cheaper and nicer than paper diapers. Neighbors still remark on seeing those white flags on my clothesline (I live fairly close to the road where lots travel by on their way to and from town).
I am going to search out the few maternity items I kept as they were classic, but don't hold your breath. I can't remember if I ended up cutting up my favorite dress I made for myself to make other items, knowing I was not going to have more.
Also, I think I just gave away all the nursing clothes patterns I had. So sorry. Wished I ahd known you sooner. I had favortie maternity clothes patterns from McCalls. Do you sew? They looked great in knits. Let me know. Those I think I saw when sorting patterns in Dec.

Posted - Jan 19 2007 : 06:45:13 AM I don't have any cloth diapers left, but I can send some cool links I found yesterday that details how to sew a ton of different kinds. I'd do it if mine weren't on the end of diapers anyway. http://www.thenappynetwork.org.nz/diy.php
