Up for trade is a very pretty Christmas plate, dated 1978, by Frankoma; 'signed' (etched into the clay) on the back by Joniece Frank. The plate is very pretty -- shows the woodland creatures (squirrels, birds, bunnies) and two lambs in the foreground and the manger scene farther back, with a star above the manger. It's a white glaze on the red clay and the dimensions of the figures show through very well given how the glaze is done. Kinda hard to describe the glaze! If you go to ebay and search 1978 Frankoma plate, you'll see several up for bids right now.

This is a very pretty plate, perfect for Christmas display. There are two holes on the back so it can be hung with a ribbon or wire. With the animals on it, it just seems perfect for a Farmgirl!

I'd like something in exchange for this plate because of shipping cost. That is, I'll trade for vintage buttons, fabric, wool felt, bits and bobs . . . Let's talk!

Julie -- Received your package yesterday -- I love the fabrics! The bright prints just make me smile -- and I love polka dots, so that one with dots and stripes is my fav! And I am in need of some flannel for a scarf I want to make for my 91-year-old father-in-law -- the blue/green plaid is just right! The notions are cute, of course, but the best of all: embroidered pillowcases! With pansies -- my favorite flower. Ahhhh. Lovely.

Thanks so much for a super trade!!!!
