Posted - Oct 24 2015 : 09:31:02 AM I have about 2 dozen small ceramics - mostly little children with chickens, ducks or birds. They are all printed on the bottom with "made in occupied Japan" in either red or black ink. I am looking to barter these if anyone has interest.
For some reason, I am not able to provide photos through this farmgirl site, so please contact me if interested, and we'll share emails.
Thank you Mary

Posted - Oct 25 2015 : 07:46:05 AM Those pieces may be quite valuable. I have a few pieces myself. What I find interesting about them is that the Japanese artists adapted their artistic images to appeal to a Western sensibility. They learned point perspective and used that as opposed to the traditional vertical perspective (the higher in the picture an image is the farther away it is from the viewer). Too bad a picture can't be posted.
