Posted - Aug 24 2015 : 12:16:52 PM So sorry you are in pain, Calleen. Hope you get it taken care of soon. Problems with teeth can lead to other major problems if not treated.
Oil of Clove and ER are the best choices.

Posted - Aug 23 2015 : 3:46:23 PM I am all for herbal and homeopathic remedies... but this truly sounds beyond that! I too urge you to go the ER and have it examined! The longer you wait, the more damage that can occur. If you keep pushing it off, you may find yourself inpatient in the hospital for an access that requires IV antibiotics and/or extensive surgery. Please please please do not keep putting it off! Many prayers coming your way!

Posted - Aug 23 2015 : 3:23:53 PM Callene, Please please go to the ER they can do a nuchal block (like novacaine but lasts longer). They have to see you in the ER. Also you most likely will need an antibiotic, if the tooth is abscessed. The ER has lots of resources as well to direct you to a community clinic or emergency dental clinic. We did these blocks when I was a student and they last for about 12 hours which can sometimes hold you over to get to the clinic.

Posted - Aug 22 2015 : 6:28:31 PM Callene, you might go to the baby products isle, (at your grocer or pharmacy), and ask for help to find the tooth numbing gel in a small tube. It is for teething babies and toddlers. When I ran the daycare we used that and some moms brought teething tablets. I cannot remember the names.

Posted - Aug 22 2015 : 6:00:24 PM My prayers go out to you......you need help.
I do have a suggestion which I believe will help..to a certain degree. If you can ,eat a raw onion. also keep a raw onion near you as you sleep. This sounds absolutely wired, but with all it's goodness in it..it will help. It has quercitin in it......which is a good thing.....please try it. If you must....cook the onion first.
The onion near you while you sleep will absorb the bacteria.Good luck

Posted - Aug 22 2015 : 08:36:39 AM Ladies is there anything that you have heard of that can kill the root,so I can pull the tooth myself?I know red cross kills the root after a while, but it is no longer sold here.Or I can not find it.Maybe they do not sale it at all now.Today is a bad day.It is a dull then sharp constant pain. And my stupid left nostril is hurting. The tooth is on my left side, thinking that is the reason.LOL.Not sure.I grind my teeth at night I am guessing.A lot of my teeth on my right side are chipped down and radiate pain when the broken tooth hurts real bad. This is not fun at all.

Posted - Aug 22 2015 : 03:35:00 AM I would definitely get that taken care of as soon as possible. Whenever there are bad teeth involved it can cause other problems too.

Posted - Aug 21 2015 : 11:04:11 PM Callene, So sorry you are going through this. Some things that worked for my hubby in the past was Oregano Oil or Grapefruit Seed Extract for the antibiotic action. You can find lots on info on line for both of these and they are easy to find at most natural food stores or place like the Vitamin Shoppe. He also used a couple to homeopathic remedies, you can go to abchomeopathy.com and use their remedy finder and it will make recommendations based on your symptoms. You can then look at each of the remedies and choose the one or two that may work for you. I have also used a wax to cover a broken tooth to protect it from heat or cold and also to protect my tongue from the broken tooth. It's called either dental wax or orthodontic wax and is sold in most drug stores, it should be near the toothbrushes and floss. Its in a small snap case with 4 or 5 sticks of wax. Just pinch off a small section and soften it between your fingers, dry off your tooth and press into place. If your fingers and your tooth are dry it sticks very well but is easy to pop off when you want to eat. Like Marie suggested a dental school my work for you, the only one in Georgia is in Augusta I think but Florida has a few so that might work too. Hope this helps some.

I go to the University of Minnesota Dental School. They have clinic hours to practice their profession and charge so much less while being supervised by the instructors. Some of the more extensive procedures such as crowns and metal fillings are free if one of them needs to perform the procedure for a board exam. I would look for something like that. They can give you continuing care also.
