Media mail is pretty cheap! I have several boxes of books I need to find new homes for. Many are books on living organically, cookbooks, books about herbs etc. If you are interested in receiving a book list let me know. Of course they will be first come, first serve so send me your email address and I will mail you a copy of the list as soon as I have it completed. Thanks so much.

Hi Susan, I will email you with my request in case you decide to respond individually. I'd like anything on herbs or cookbooks of any kind. Hope you have fun sorting and shipping!

Susan .. would it be easier if you just listed them here .. and maybe to allow lots of the girls to get some ... limit (first come-first served) THREE to FIVE books per person .. sounds like the types of books lots of the farmgirls would love to have. Perhaps this is toooooooo much work though with all the keeping track. Here is how I have done such give-aways:

I list all items.

I tell the girls to E-MAIL me their wishes (that way .. there is no hurt feelings if someone thinks they got there first because of computer problems).

IF several girls want the same book(s) .. it goes to the first person who asked for them.

I tell the girls that if their FIVE choices are gone .. to please trust me to 'substitute' up to the three to five books for them (and i try to find ones of similar interests .. i.e. cook books, decorating books, etc.) AND .. when we collect books .. they are pretty much of certain interests and postage isn't so high that we shouldn't all be pleased at the 'surprize' books we get. (We can always gift them .. after all .. they were FREE).

SOMETIMES, I've 'worked it' .. and if someone only gets one that they wanted on their list .. i will send them a list of what is left and ask them to choose from this list. (only do this ONE at a time though .. cuz' you might get lots of responses for the SAME books again).

OR .. you can let them ALL know you are sending this list to several friends .. and again, it is first come - first served.

Anyhoo .. jus' a suggestion. (i would love to see your list). xo

I would like a list, too! Can you post one list on this forum to save emailing all of us? I'd be interested in the books on herbs, herbs, herbs. My latest passion...
