Posted - Jun 04 2013 : 06:23:13 AM Hello fellow sisters...although I am new to the Sisterhood I am an avid follower of MaryJane...have been for years re-reading her first 3 books and doing projects and receiving her magazine. I am excited to now get started in the Sisterhood with making new friends, earning badges and living more like the farmgirl I've always wanted to be.

Posted - Aug 31 2013 : 05:47:43 AM Hi Lynda, I am new to the sisterhood too. Presently, I am reading Sisters on the Fly and Happy Glamping. I also just received my copy of Mary Jane's book, Outpost. The Urban Farm magazine is also interesting. Have you found the Sisterhood merit badges yet. It sounds like you have many talents and might enjoy receiving merit badges that high light your talents. Or perhaps, you may find them an eady way to guide your learning process and prepare you for the big move in two yeats.
Happy glamping!!! |

So I try to find the items I want to read thoroughly and read those items first. SO any help there that can get me moving down the road to Sisterhood I would appreciate. I love the idea of belonging. I am a long time Country Girl wannabe so finding MaryJanes Farm and her magazines really gave me the food to fuel my dreams. My DH and I are both retired, empty nesters, and country at heart. I love all my MaryJanesFarm magazines and read them cover to cover many many many times. SO as I said I love those magazines so very much. I have a great dream at one day having a place that we could have a couple of Hens and maybe a couple goats. It is a dream and we have a 2 yr plan to move away from this home we are in now and find something in a more coutry setting than the one we have been in for 30 yrs. We are paring down our household and have sold some things to keep on our destination. I need some guidance and help in finding things to get me going. I'd love to chat with those that are interested in all things country. I quilt, crochet, sew, paint ceramics, beading and pretty much anything I can craft I love. Thanks so much Ladies. I look forward to chatting with friends and Sisters.

My husband told me the other day that "You have finally found a group of women that like and do the same things you do." Boy was he right. It has been wonderful to share with others that have things in common with me. I have found a home away from home and love it. I have only been here for the past 9 months and plan to stay for a very long, long time. Hope you will be as happy here as I have.

Posted - Jun 12 2013 : 9:02:19 PM I am new to the sisterhood and thrilled to join in! I live near a large metro area, but dream of having my own little piece of "peace" here in my own backyard! My step-daughter gave me two little chicks for Mother's Day and now I'm looking to add a coup in my yard. Still have to convince my better half, but he's softening. |
