in celebration of SNOW .. a CHOCOLATE party!
oh gurlz this is such a fun theme for a 'party' when the first snow falls in your area. i've done this lots of winters. so many ways to go with it .. and i've varied these ideas from party to party. will write more of the 'parties' soon .. (have to get to town in a few minutes!) .. BUT .. i thought it would be fun IN THE MONTH OF DECEMBER ... to do a ONE-ON-ONE SWAP .. with this theme.
thought i'd mention it now so's i don't forget come December. I KNOW December is a very busy month for all of us what with Christmas coming .. but this would just be a quickie .. and the CHOCOLATE can be 'store-bought' .. or 'home-made' .. and we could limit it to just a couple dollars .. the idea would be to send a swap partner some fun CHOCOLATE .. as 'festively' decorated/wrapped as we can conjure up in our imaginations!
i'll be in OHIO for most of November .. but when i return .. IF I FORGET .. pleeeeeeeeeze someone remind me .. and I'll start the 'swap list' ..
i think the 'big-guns' (although incredibly SPLENDIFEROUS!) where we have to swap with lotsa' partners intimidates some of us .. soooo .. the one-on-one .. should be easy for ALL of us!
We'll all sign up come December first-ish .. and have until about the 10th of the month to sign up ... then .. i'll put all the names in a 'chocolate basket' .. and let ya'll know who your swap partner is. Sound like fun? Sound like sumpthin' you wanna' do? xo

hidey-ho gurlfrenz .. i'm home sweet kentucky home .. missing those little cherubs sumpthin' turrible already though!
thunk we should mayhaps get our chocolate swap rocking and rolling!
if you have signed up for it .. or want to sign up for it ... start e-mailing me .. INCLUDE YOUR FULL NAME .. and E-MAIL ADDRESS .. we'll wait until about the first week into December to close our chocolate swap out .. (i'll be tossing all your names into a basket as your e-mail comes in .... IMPORTANT!!!!! I won't rely just on your posting here .. cuz' i'll need your e-mail address to send to your swap partner).
your chocolate can be store-bought or home-made .. but make it special .. and wrap it real FESTIVE!!! .. can be candy, cookies, cupcakes ... as long as it includes CHOCOLATE! .. be creative. don't spend more than a few dollars though .. at this time of the year when we have so many family gifts to BUY .. let's let this one be a fun and creative and inexpensive but special little way to say happy holidays! oh . .and make sure it isn't tooooo 'melt-able' .. or 'squish-able' for mailing! t'would be nice if you kids can post a picture of your chocolate surprize .. or at least tell us about it here in this 'topic thread'.
go ahead .. start e-mailing me now ... when it is 'closing' time .. i will list all the swapper's names .. then will e-mail you each your partner's name and e-mail address.

How about fast fudge recipe?? Melt a can of your favorite chocolate frost with a package of your favorite chocolate chips over low heat. Add nuts if you want. I like to add dried cranberries. Line a 8X8 pan with foil and butter the foil well. Pour in the fudge mixture. Wait 30 minutes, or less, and eat. Easy for kids to make and a great chocolate fix for those of us no longer kids.

PS Both Chocolate Chillover recipes in last spring's MJF Organic issues are AWESOME!!!!! Everytime I make it it's a little different. I've added frozen raspberries, dark chocolate chips and nuts. I've put them in graham cracker crusts and served as pies. Can't seem to mess it up. Good eats.
