I would like to get alot of different varieties of flower seeds so that I can create a "farmgirl friendship flower garden".

I will be willing to do the following in exchange for packets of seeds: I will send to you a matted 4 by 6 floral photo of my own design.

If you have seeds for the following plants I'd really be thrilled:
black eye susan vine, black eye susan, gomphrena, balloon flower, bee balm, columbine, cosmos, foxgloves, hollyhocks, any iris or lily tubers,echinacea,coreopsis,gazania,zinnia,..basically I'm looking for nice cutting flowers or wildflowers type seeds that will come back year after year or that seeds can be gathered from to keep passing on to others to enjoy...and that also will make lovely photographed images.

So, if you'd like to share..I'd like to trade a matted floral photo in exchange.

special note:
*** after this batch of 3 seeds swaps I am currently doing.. I will take a short break on offering the tea towels..but the matted floral images are still available for trade for seeds.
(I just have alot of crafting to get done before the holidays..thanks for understanding)

I will have the tea towels available again though..just not until next year.
Thanks Gals!

Hi Terre,
I always have room for cosmos. THey are one of my favorites. They are terrific subjects for photography!
As are the zinnias. I planted zinnias for the first time this year..and oh my..I wish I had met those beauties earlier..I am hooked..they come in such a wide variety of colors..love them..so yes! I'd love to give them a home. Please let me know what you'd like in exchange..tea towel or matted floral image please.
THank you!
~Tina

Hi Tina Michelle! Could you use some Cosmos and Zinnia seeds? I have 4 pkgs of Zinnia's and 1 pkg of Cosmos. I got to plant this summer and didn't and now is too late to do in Indiana. I'd like for them to bloom somewhere :)

Be true in heart.

Oh I am sure it will work!! I wish we were closer..I would show you how to knit and crochet for sure. Crochet is easier to learn..in my opinion. Have fun!!

I do not know how to knit or crochet..I do know how to do a simple crocher chain stitch..that's about all. My grandmother was a phenomenal crocheter..she used to crochet in the filet crocher style..lovely works.
I love to craft..but never learned how to crochet.
Wish I had..guess there is still time. But those nifty knitters are well..pretty nifty. and I'll use mine to make the cloths.

I never thought of doing the dishcloths with a knifty knitter..we have some here too..I will have to get the girls making some too. I keep circular needles and a ball of cotton yarn in a cute little cowgirl zip top pouch in the car for when I have to wait somewhere (soccer games, dentist or like that) and knit on a dishcloth when I can. I just start with 3 stitches and increase at the end of each row until as half done and then start decreasing at the end of each row until I am back to three stitches and bind off. Very mindless and I love the diagonal look. My sister sent one to me at Christmas that was a basket weave looking knitted one. I will have to ask for her pattern..cute too!!

Hi Tina,

They are really pretty and hummingbirds love them! They are also quite prolific, so you will have many babies to share! I will look around later online and see if I can find images of the varieties and post them here.

I might not get your email right away. Email that comes to me through the MJF forum tends to get caught in my ISP's spamfilter until I put each one on my whitelist. I will let you know if it arrives tomorrow.

Oh good...I am glad they got there. The dishcloth is knitted. I use them all the time..they work really well and you are right..they don't sour as easily..and wear like iron!
I am glad you liked it!

Susan,
those would be absolutely lovely! I have never grown thosse before..had to look on image search to see what they look like..they are very pretty. I emailed you . I think they'd do well here given that they are native to South Africa.
So..I'd love to give a few of them a good home!
Thank you!
Let me know what you'd like in exchange tea towel or matted floral image.
Thanks so much!

Tina, would you like some crocosmia? (they are either bulbs or corms, not sure!) I have two varieties butI don't know the names. One is orange and the other is red. They both make nice cutting flowers. I'm just not sure how they would do in the heat.
