I am lookin for a hobby cheese makers kit. I have seen them online, but not in any of the stores in my area. I have a few things I could barter with. I have homemade jelly, yarn, and some material. I might have other things but am not thinkin of them off the top of my head. If you have one and would be interested in tradin for somethin just ask. I will let you know if I have it or if I can get it. Thanks.

Try this site, I ordered my kit from them and my brother inlaw who ran a commercial goat dairy ordered from them also.

The design he has that he is workin on would ship well enough as it comes apart and lays flat. It is a dowel rod and board construction that is surprisingly simple. The store bought things were so expensive we couldn't afford one of those and the supplies to make the cheese. I will see what he thinks of makin two. He hasn't started on mine yet. We're still tryin a few more avenues for some used cheese molds and equipment and stuff. If it doesn't pan out in a few weeks we're gonna just mail order a new one.

Angela,
If your dh has good luck making the cheese press, I might be interested in buying one from him if he is interested

Thank you! I have looked at so many sites and was so lost. My DH is gonna make me a press from directions in a magazine, but I still need the other stuff.
