Hello ladies! I have been trying to find this book to read for my farmgirl badge, but it is not in our county library system. I'm wondering if any of you have one that you would be willing to let me read ( I could send it back to you ). Let me know if you'd like to barter for it or what would work for you. I just really don't want to have to buy it on Amazon because they only have the hardcover and I can't justify spending $20 just to get a badge! My husband would kill me! Thanks for looking!

Thanks ladies...I'll look around a little at those places for the other books MJ recommends for our badges...I got a 50% off coupon for Borders and used it on the book this time. They are books that we don't have in our "city" library...sure, we have ten zillion books and magazines about fashion and celebrities, but VERY few on farming, agriculture, animals (besides dogs and cats)...it's very frustrating at times!

Try looking at bookcrossing.com. Lots of people swap books there. You could also try booksfreeswap.com or even half.com if you want to buy one.

I purchased the book from Amazon, but I looked at the "used" section. Paid $10 for the used one I got . . but you'd never know it was "used". EXCELLENT condition! And shipped quickly.
We are using it to pass around our Henhouse too . . . we're doing that with most of the books. It's working really well and saving a lot of people a lot of money!!

Nevermind...I finally gave in and bought it myself. I guess that's good since I'm a chapter leader...now I'll have it so I can loan it out to my sisters. :)
