Hello Ladies! I have two pairs of LLBEAN women's tights...I don't know if you call them something else when you're a grown woman, but for all intents and purposes, they are tights. One black pair and one dark chocolate pair, both size large and both never been worn. The brown pair has never been removed from the package, but I did take the black pair out to wear to some dinner event for my husband's work, but he got sick and we didn't end up going, so though it is out of the package I still have all the packaging and it has never been worn either. I don't recall what they cost me because LLBean doesn't sell them anymore, but I would be willing to trade for handmade lotions or soaps, honey, really any type of usable/consumable goods...I don't need more stuff cluttering up the house! So let me know if you're interested!

Good question Karla! Didn't even think to post that! Ha! According to the back of the packaging, a size Large fits 5'7" - 5'9" and has a weight range of 130-170 lbs. And for the record, they are called L.L.Bean Lycra Opaque Tights. In case any of you have a pair at home and are wondering if these are the same type. :-) Anyway, thanks for looking!

Hey Sheila, I think the best way to describe them is a heavy nylon. They are not knit, like little girls winter tights. They are like your average nylons, only thicker. The package says they are 89% nylon 11% lycra. They feel nice and firm, like they would be hard to run and maybe hold you in a little better than the average nylon. ;-) As I said, I haven't even tried them on, but I bought them at the recommendation of a friend who just loves hers. I just haven't had a reason to wear them and have had them for 2 years now! It's time they move on! :-)
