I have been making soaps since January 1999.
In my attempts to make my soaps stand out among the gads of other CP soaps available, I studied the fatty acids of the various oils used in soap making and came up with literally thousands of recipes before finding the perfect combination of oils to pamper the 35+ skin! Soaps are also available to help troubled skin... Neem, Pine Tar, Castile, Essential Oil soaps.
During these trials, I wrote and published on the internet the first soap calculator with a soap recipe fatty acid analysis.
I’m sure many of you have tried handmade soaps that are of the olive/palm/coconut variety with perhaps a bit of specialty oil added. These are wonderful soaps, but not balanced for essential fatty acids.
All my soaps are made from fresh, creamy milk from our delightful Jersey milk cow. Jersey milk has a higher cream content than most goat’s milk resulting is a creamier soap!
Just one try is all it takes!
Lotions are also made fresh, not a pre-purchased lotion base!

I have a few essential oil only soaps, as well as unscented varieties, Betty Jo. The whole, unprocessed milk in my soap recipes help lower the pH to your skin's natural pH level

Hello Cyndi,
I have rosesia and very delicate dry face skin and body skin. I have what my DH calls the princess factor. Which soap would you suggest?

Anything for a Laura fan! (my oldest daughter is named Laura …. Mrs. Wilder had a Great influence on my life!)

I highly recommend that you use water instead of milk for your first few ventures. The liquid is just the carrier of the lye that mixes with your oils to create a salt (soap).
Be sure to follow ALL safety requirement (most important to me is eye protection – I use a face shield even though I wear glasses)

JPBlueSky – I agree, nothing beats a good milk soap! The fatty acid combination of the soaping oils in a recipe make a huge difference in the final outcome of the soap, but the addition of whole milk can make a so-so recipe good and a good recipe outstanding!
Must milk soaps use goat’s milk (either fresh, canned or powdered). Some milk soaps contain only a small part of milk. My soaps are made with 100% Jersey cow milk as 100% of the liquid carrier. Not all milk soaps are the same.

From my experience, milk soaps are THE BEST OF ALL SOAPS. I am looking for a great milk soap. I want to order your soap.

I am certainly goi to have my hubby take a look at your site!! I have been looking for some safe soaps and you are relativly close!
My daughter has been begging me to find her someone to make soap with since she read Lauras books when she was 4, now she is 11. Could you tell us how to make soap from fresh cream? It certainly would not be a full time thing for us, I have too much to do as it is, but she would like to add this as part of a 4H project. What could we trade? You are so self sufficent, we are sew-ers and carpentersourselves! I was a photographer before I was a mom.
