Posted - Jan 27 2010 : 7:43:43 PM I am buying a few from Ebay and will give it a try. I think instead of wrapping with copper tape and sodering, I will buy some frames and just put the glass slides in. This could be a very expensive adventure! I want to do some mixed media art and use my children's and g-children's pictures. Thanks everybody.

Posted - Jan 27 2010 : 11:53:49 AM Try googling a medical supply company. You can usually get medical slides dirt cheap. I did but for the life of me I can't remember the name of the company I ordered from but know I found them after doing a search. I'm positive it was less than $4 for a box of 72 slides. The ones I ordered were 1x3 so with a little glass cutter you double your supply. I also ordered copper adhesive tape from a guitar supplier over the internet and that was pretty cheap too. I think around $6 or so for a nice spool of it. It will last forever. Good luck!

Posted - Jan 13 2010 : 8:11:17 PM I used some of these for a similar purpose. If you can get medical supplies, you can also use those slides for the same purpose. |

Posted - Jan 13 2010 : 5:11:46 PM I am looking for the glass, 1x1 to put pics between two slides and wrap copper tape around the outside and attached or sodier a fastener to hang a necklace. I have seen some necklaces that I really liked. I also would like to make tags to attach to my handspun yarn. Thanks Robin. Sarita
