I got a message from the Air Force support group that keeps us in touch w our kids overseas and my daughter will be home in Mountain Home,Idaho on January 19th!!! Now I can relax abit and will hear from her soon as she goes thru medical and mental screening to make sure she is ok. I hope soon all those who are overseas gets to come home soon to be with their families!

What a handsome young man. So lad he got home and got some of mom's food before having to leave again. Great for you! :) God bless the young men who love our country enough to defend it.

I may have missed this along the line, but how long is he home...and then what happens? I don't know you, but as a mother, I think we can all send our happiness to you for your big chickie coming back to the nest. He is a handsome man, and I am sure has changed some while he was gone.

What a great read. I am so happy he is finally home. Enjoy and give him a big hug from all the farmgirls. Yep, it cold... we had 10 this morning, but I bet he doesn't mind at all. Besides that,a good home cooked meal will warm everone up.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

I fed him a good hearty breakfast this morning..and he drank REAL milk! he missed my cooking mostly...haha..and he is outside in the cold freezing weather enjoying home..lol

Mary,I know I will be going to Killeen sometime after my son gets back but not sure when. I don't know if he is gonna live on base or stay in a dorm until he leaves for his other job. Because we have to bring his stuff back in Uhaul truck which I will be following him to Killeen. Then he has to bring me back home..lol..

Karrieann, I am glad your son in law arrived back safely on USA soil. And for serving our country. My son is in the 1st Calvary Division Band.He plays in the USA Army band. I do know he has been transfered to Baltimore, MD for a new job in April of this year. He will be in charge of the USA Army bands going anywhere and what they do..is simple as my son could tell me. He was picked out of 146 applications for that job. Then it narrowed down to 5 top finals. He was chosen out of those top 5 to take over the job. He will be traveling alot as well..lol..I will post an updated picture of us when he gets home..lol

Nadine! I am so happy for you!!!! My Son-in-Law is also stationed at Ft. Hood. He arrived back just two days after that incident. My daughter is so happy to have him back in her life. He had been gone over a year. I am so relieved he is back. I am relieved for your son to be coming back too!!!

Hey, I live an hour from Fort Hood, and I wouod be happy to come nmeet you for a cup of tea, or you could come visit me anytime! ( I know that Army guys can't just sit around entertaining visiting family, LOL!
