Posted - Nov 30 2009 : 08:46:26 AM Hi everyone,
Cleaning out some of my stamps, just haven't been able to find time for cardmaking these days. Let me know if you would like any of these stamps...I'd like something homemade, if possible, in trade. I am especially looking for knit socks (mens or ladies), but could also use tea-towels with sewn toppers, armwarmers in black or grey, non-crocheted slippers, or other sewn items. Please mail me with your ideas.
Please only barter if you are able to honor your trade. I've had a couple of barters recently where I've sent items and received nothing in return. That's fine, I know times are tough, but I'd prefer if people were honest about their situations.
Anyway, here's a pic...

Posted - Nov 30 2009 : 5:39:08 PM Hi Julie,
I'm not sure what the real name is for it, but the tea-towel topper is just a tea towel with a fabric "top" sewn on top, so that the towel can be buttoned up (or velcroed) and hung from a rack or oven handle. The ones I've seen usually have a theme to them...cat pattern on the towel and complimentary fabric for the topper part or dogs, teacups, roses, etc. Anything goes. They can be crocheted as well. Here is a link to a picture.

I'll email you re the trade.
Thanks! Carol

Posted - Nov 30 2009 : 10:51:51 AM Hello Sewsweet, I am interested in the box set "Thanks So Much". I can sew you a cute half apron or maybe you would like an embroidered dish towel. Let me know. I am not sure what a tea-towel with sewn topper is. I could do that if given a pic. Thanks.
