Posted - Nov 27 2009 : 08:36:23 AM Hey all of you Barter Girls!! I wanted to let you know that there is a new henhouse, "QuiltChicks," which has been up and running about 2 weeks. If anyone is interested, come on over and check it out. We are going to have a fat quarter swap for December, and sometime after the first of the year, we are going to make friendship blocks for a quilt. Love to see you there. Posted - Nov 27 2009 : 6:18:27 PM Melissa- a friendship block is where you make a quilt block, usually a simple pattern, and sign your name somewhere on it. You then send it to someone, who will in return send you a block that they made with their name on it! The were popular in the 1940's I believe. Imagine a quilt with 25 quilt block all the same design, different fabrics, each one signed by your MJfarm girl friends!!!
