Posted - Oct 02 2009 : 10:58:04 PM So I have this terribly ancient lace dress. I might be from the 20's or before. I just have no idea what to do with it, I feel uncomfortable taking it apart and using the lace for other things as its a bit on the frail side.
So, I can take pictures, but is anyone even interested? It has a stole or wrap made of the same material. It's browned quite a lot. It's like a hmmm... maybe hot chocolate powder color. pretty dark. Anyways, if any of you gals have any interest in such a thing, let me know and I'll post some pictures.
Aparently it came from my moms friend. Her husband, who was in his 70's died and it was either his mothers or his grandmothers dress, and she assumed it was a wedding dress, because who would save just a random dress for so very long?! anyways, had never even met her mother in law as they were married late in life. So, it meant nothing to her and I like old things so it made it's way to me! it's nice to be known as 'that girl' I get lots of fun stuff.
so let me know!

Posted - Oct 27 2009 : 10:43:02 PM That is a beautiful lace shell. I am think it is beautiful. I would love to have it, but I have so much other stuff I don't know what I would do with it right now. But if no one else wants to take it off of your hands maybe we can work something out Heather. Hey actually you live really close to me. I'm in Sherman Oaks, California! I just know saw where you are. Maybe we can figure something out. Farm Girl Hugs!

Posted - Oct 10 2009 : 10:08:31 PM Hey, Heather Ann! do you still have your dress? My daughter "repurposes" vintage and old clothing, and this would be exquisite for her. If you have it still, what would you like to barter for it? Thanks.
