I have a large box of fabrics for a Crazy Quilt. Numerous different solid colors of velvets and silks and satins. These are from small to larger pieces of scraps, plenty of make a good size crazy throw. Also is a large piece of black cordory that I used as a lining in one of mine to make it warmer.

Just make a offer, but no fabric please I'm down sizing mine. LOL

Oh they are so pretty!! You are so thoughtful to everyone. That is nice you put the mailbox on the pillow. I am sure she loved it! Always keep those memories:)
I may have to try it this winter after I get the holidays over with. I have 2 more gufts to do for family members, then I have 2 sweater/hoodies I am making for my son and the memory quilt. Then I may try a crazy quilt, really it can all be put together on a machine, I thought you had to hand sew all of the pieces together with the embroidery stitches.
Actually I have an embroidery machine, I wonder if I could use that on some of the pieces? Now you have my mind whirling:) I am thinking a January project?!? LOL

Angela these are so easy to make. All the patchwork can be put together on the machine, no seams to match just cut and sew, this way and that everywhich way. LOL The fun part is covering all the seams over with beautiful embroidery stitches. My girlfriend wanted to learn it so she gave me a little brown book with 100's of crazy quilt stitches in it and said learn these please then teach us. There was a group of us that had formed from classes I taught. I spent the whole winter learning really beautiful stitches and how to make ribbon flowers. Here are some of the fun books to learn from and two of my little practice pieces that I gave to my mom. When she passed they came back to me. She was the queen of letter writing and loved going to the mail box hince the mailbox on the pillow. She also had a huge heart so I made her one. Lots of memories in that box of fabric. LOL

I wish I was good enough to make a crazy quilt. I was just looking at a book on them at the quilt store. A little advanced for me I think. Plus I am up yo my ears in Christmas gift :) LOL Good luck!
