Treelady...do not despair...dishcloths are on their way. I kept fumbling with patterns....till I just went back to my favorite one! Isn't that always the way.... They will be in the mail today or tomorrow!

BTW...your lovely dishcloths are so thick and heavy they are just right to put a pot on when I need to balance it on the counter. And, my favorite use is to put it in the bottom of the sink to cushion a pan or big dish from scratching my sink. Works perfectly! And then they get to be displayed all nice and pretty till I need them (which, of course is every day...but still) :-) Thanks again!

Linda I just finished up the first one and will start on the second one! I hope to mail them this week. They remind me of Fruit Loops!!!

Ha! I am a new Oxy-clean convert and I love it! I never used it until you sisters mentioned it and now I can't get enough of it! I'm planning on leaving the DD with the DH for a few hours on his next days off and hitting an antique mall in a neighboring town - can't wait to see what I pick up! You've opened a whole new world to me - I never thought about cutting up really bad pieces before. Not too long ago I found this adorable hankie, but 2 of the 4 corners were GROSS! Holes, stains, you name it. I loved the little designs in the corners and thought, well, half of it is ruined so I can't use it! I debated forever and didn't get it because I was only thinking of it in the "Whole" sense. I could have cut it up and used the good corners! Doh! Now I know better - thanks Angie! ;-)

Melisa, thank-you so much for visiting the Pink Room. I love to use scraps of pretty "stuff" and I enjoyed making that pillow for my Mum in England. I gave it to her when I went over in August. When I go to rummage sales and yard sales, I like to dig through the boxes of linen. Sometimes the bits may look dingy but only cost a few pennies, so I bring them home and do the Oxy-Clean shuffle for a few days and many times they come our great. If not, just cut out the good parts and use as appliques or maybe as a little scrap of a tuck- in in a package.
Yes! Copy copy copy!!!

Angie - I just have to say that I stopped by your blog today and I LOVE that little pillow that you made! The one out of the scraps of lace and a hankie(?) I think and the insert showed on the sides...brilliant! I am going to have to steal your idea and make one of my own! I thought it was so creative and cute and a great way to use those little bits of things that you love, but are too small for other projects! I love it!

Well, thank-you. I hope everyone had fun, this was a short and simple swap and I'm all for short & simple!
I love my dish-cloths and it always seems a shame to use them but when I do I will think of the loving hands that made them.

Oh that would be great! I can't seem to figure out how to post pictures, even though I read through the tutorial. I guess I'm not very technologically advanced! I really do love them and the yoyo one that you are going to try to make into a throw is the one my daughter loves! I think all the ladies would like to see them! I'd sure show them off if I could figure out how to do it!

I have photos of the dishclothes if you would like me to post them??

Kathy! I just got your package today and I can't believe how hard you worked sister! My daughter (3 year old) has claimed the yo-yo one for herself, saying that she would like to use it in her bath tonight! And I think the little flower on the other one is just so sweet! Nice bright yarn too! I looked through the instructions - oh my gosh! I'm not a crocheter but it looked impossible! Thank you so much for taking all that time to make something so special for me ... and my daughter, since it doesn't look like I'll be getting the yo-yo one back any time soon! :-) I'll try to figure out how to post a picture so everyone can see them! Thanks again! And thank you Angie, for setting all this up! Great swap and great partner!

Awe Kathy, I'm glad you liked them! I'm not too fancy with my knitting skills yet, so since they were going to be *simple* I thought I'd better make them cute - and what better way to copy them straight from the book! Hope you get many years good use out of them - and I hope the green isn't too crazy! I wanted to try that self-striping thick stripe yarn! Kind of fun to see where it would end up! I can't wait to see what you've maid - I'm pacing by the mailbox as we speak! I know they're not even in the mail yet, but I'm just so excited!

Don't worry Kathy! Take your time, it's been well over 100* here lately so there's not a lot for us to do outside. My daughter just wants to stay inside and I can't say that I blame her. So that created lots of knitting time for me!
