two plastic "yard flamingos"...lol....I'm sure ya'll know the ones I'm talking about....I have some jewelry and decorative foo foo stuff to dress them up in, but no flamingos...lol...I want to stake them outside my vintage travel trailer when I go places...lol...cheesy, I know....but they are gonna look so cute with retro sunglasses, pearls, and cherry aprons on!!!

I have been in search of some for a while, even thrift store and garage sale hunting for them with no luck....

Anyone got a couple that they dont want anymore????

Grace, that sound so cute!! I sure wish we had pics of that!
I saw a couple of the regular sized old flamingos... in a vintage store window...I asked the owner if they were for sale and she laughed and said no...and she gets LOTS people asking that. It is her theme and they are all around, different types of flamingos..for decoration...
She is thinking of stocking some to sell because she gets asked so much!

ok, I had to pop in here...the Oriental Trading Company-a mail order party supply catalog sells Flamingo Paraphinalia too!
I use to have a "Flamingo garden" back when I lived in Calif. I sure miss it.
Now I only have 3 in my garden up here.
I use a Flamingo Plant stand to place over my trailer hitch and put a potted plant in it. It looks cute but it also keeps passer-by's from crackin' their shin on the hitch.
Also Back when the Carol Duval craft show was on HGTV, she did a segment on decorating plastic flamingos....using feathers, rhinestones to even decopodging it....hmmm, I just might have to get my Modg Podg goo out & kidnap one of my garden flamingos for some serious fun & mischief! lol!

The flamingos are flying off to be at their new home...LOL

I would like to get a plastic goose to dress again...I have made some stuffed fabric ones but the yard lawn ones are best.
Maybe I'll find one in a garage sale.

I read a true news story about brothers who competed to put flamingos in each other's yard....it went on for years when one brother got friends in the electric company to wire one into the electricity that NEVER turned off and had friends make it huge....something like 20 ft tall. He finally won! LOL
I bet we could find the story on a searh in internet!

Kelley,
A gentleman here in the Tri-Cities had 90 of those plastic pink flamingos planted on his front yard during the night. He turned 90 today and that was a way of wishing him well.

My company was just "flocked" with flamingoes. It was a fund raiser for the local animal shelter. The deal is you have to pay $250 (I think) to get them removed from your location and then you can pay another $250 if you want to have them delivered to someone elses business. It has been fun seeing where they are going to show up next, and a good deal for the animal shelter.
