I'd like a couple or three. If you make these and sell them, point me to your website. If you want to barter for them let me know that too. I can come up with something you'd be interested in.

TIA!

Dutchy, is there a name for that pattern you pictured? I think it's really cute and I'd like to give it a try - I'll google it and see what I can find. And Sunshine, I just checked out your link - you are SUPER crafty my friend! I'm impressed with your incredible amount of knowledge! I hope someday I can know even half of the stuff you do!

I LOVE snoods! I wear them all the time at the Renaissance Faires, and the wool ones aren't hot, believe it or not. I like the longer ones best too, the small ones have the look of a hair net, making me feel like a cafeteria employee! Not that hairnets don't have their place. I just prefer snoods!

posted new pictures today showing one I made today from the same tutorial i posted earlier I used a bigger doily and bigger elastic My oldest daughter has the longest hair in the family so I used her as the model to show how much hair it can hold. On the blog I posted before pictures of the doily with my hand next to it for a size reference I also posted the inside wrapper of the thread I used to modify this as it had an old pattern in it thought people might want ti.

I made one out of cotton this evening and I love it I am ging to use it tomorrow morning. Hopefully it will keep my hair put while I am unloading hay wagon!LOL

Oh I bet they would be nice out of cotton. I LOVE that style. I wonder if I could pull that off. I struggle with keeping my hair out of the way all the time. It is long and thick and tends to be wild (wavy)so I end up braiding it down the back. It is sort of too much hair for a regular bun..it slowly falls down my neck. sigh.
Would you be willing to barter for anything on my blog Dutchy? I would love to have a dark blue one..would go best with most of my clothes.

I do use wool and I used a 4 ply for the red one I made. But now I am making one out of 3 ply and that works just as well. Maybe you can make one out of cotton?? Worth a try. Maybe I will try to make one of cotton as well, just as a trial. And the meshes are quite big so think it would not be too warm at all when you do use wool.

I have very thick and heavy hair too esp when it is long. That is why i had it cut to a shorter style not too long ago. I had it past my shoulder and now it is half way down my neck.

Dutchy,
I have the same pattern for these snoods but I can not seem to find a yarn I like to make them out of. It would seem to me that wool would be very hot especially in the summer(and I have extremely thick hair) What do you use or do you have any suggestions. I love how the pattern turns out, but the wool is just too much I think? Can ya help?
