Posted - Jun 30 2009 : 11:31:06 AM O.K. I can't stand it!!! Reading the Patriotic Apron Swap thread was just too much for me! I want to participate in the next and I'm so excited I can't wait!! (I am very easily entertained). I noticed there were several people on that thread who didn't get signed up in time to participate, so this is our chance!! You all sounded like you were having so much fun making aprons for each other, I can't wait to get started.
I will volunteer to man this swap, however, since I am new to the forum, if it seems inappropriate for such a newbie to be in charge of a swap, I will be happy to relinquish swap mama duties to a more seasoned member. As long as I get to participate!
Sign up on this thread if you would like to be involved in a Halloween Apron Swap.
Particulars:
Stay tuned to this post for updated information on the sign-up list and who is on it. Once everyone has signed up, I will pair you with another farm girl. It is up to you to communicate with your partner as to what type of apron you would like (1/2 or Full), what size, mailing address, etc. Aprons should be mailed to partners far enough ahead of Halloween Day to ensure that each farmgirl has received her apron and can be proudly wearing it on Halloween! Sign up begins today and will end August 1st.
Sign-up list: JojoNH (apron sent) Dutchy (apron received) Chaddsgirl (apron received) Gramadinah (apron received) Merry (apron received) Sewgirlie (apron received) Lynner (apron received) Yarnmamma (apron received) Laurzgot (apron received) Miss2Missus (apron received) Antoinette (apron received) Sue Feely (apron received) Marcy Jo (apron received) Tammyb (apron received) Barnagainkristen (apron received) Faransgirl (apron received) khartquilt (apron received) Aunt Pammy (apron received) Mtngirljon (apron received) KayB(apron received) MrsDirtDoctor (apron received) ridgebird (apron received) Mustang Sally (apron received) Futters (apron received) Lessie Louise (apron received) Wende (apron received) Claude09647 (apron received)

Posted - Oct 13 2009 : 11:57:00 AM I'm so happy to see everyone is enjoying this apron swap so much. Most of the girls have sent/received their aprons. IF you are like me and have managed to put it off until the last minute, just remember to have your aprons shipped to their recipients in time for Halloween (which seems to have come much more quickly than I had anticipated). LOL!! Thanks to everyone who participated, this has been a LOT of fun!!

I am so glad you like the apron and candles and everything. I was really worried about it because this is the first time I've ever done anything like this in my life. I so love my apron, and so does DH. My mother-in-law really likes it, too. Thank you so very much.

Here are the photos that I promised of the apron that you made for me. Thanks again. I so enjoy wearing it. And, the candles you sent are not in the photo, because they are both burning. I love them!
Thanks to Sarah (chaddsgirl) for starting this wonderful swap!

Posted - Oct 09 2009 : 7:47:02 PM Hi,
Just wanted to let you know that my "first" apron swap was wonderful. Carol and I swapped arpons at our Farmgirls of the Heartland first meeting. Rene Groom attended our meeting and we had a great time.
I Love my apron and my clients are jealous.
This is Carol and her apron from me and the other is Rene with Carol and myself wearing Carol's apron. Rene and I wore our apron's out to dinner that night, to the casino no less!!
Thank you again Carol.

I'm really glad you like your apron. I was having misgivings about it, but I really enjoyed putting it together. I like to take the melted "wax" from the soy candles and rub them on my hands. It feels good and smells wonderful and the pumpkin/quince is such an autumn scent in my opinion that I hope you enjoy them.
I just love the little dressed up bears. I try to find a new one or two every year. I used to decorate my area at work with them, but the place I'm in now is so small that I can only hang my witch sign and use my Mary Moo-Moo halloween cow, but I love shopping for those little teddy bears.
I just hope you enjoy everything.

Posted - Oct 09 2009 : 06:59:05 AM Kay! I received my package yesterday and I LOVE THE APRON! It's so cute! I haven't seen that fabric down here. The candles smell really good and the bears are great. I have a group of cherished teddies figurines so they fit right in. haven't had time to post pics yet, but will try to get that done this week-end. Have a great week-end and thanks, again!

Posted - Oct 05 2009 : 6:56:25 PM Jonnie,
First things first - your package went off UPS this morning. It will have a Waukesha Pearce sticker on it because DH sent it from where he works rather than having to find a post office of UPS store. So, keep your eyes peeled.
Then, DH called to let me know I got a package from Houston. At first, I couldn't figure out why my stepsister was sending me anything and then I remembered - Jonnie!!!!!! All I can say is - I'm not worthy. The apron is wonderful and then the little treats you included just really almost made me cry. I have never done a swap like this before and I'm a little nervous about what you'll think. I'm sorry I was unable to post anything, but then again, somehow my camera ended up in Kansas with the youngest granddaughter after she came here to see Disney on Ice.
Thank you so very much. I feel so special now. Let me know when you get yours.
Thanks again!!!!

Posted - Oct 03 2009 : 6:43:11 PM Received my fall apron today from Toni! All I can say is WOW. The apron is made of squares sewed together with applique on it also. (I cannot do applique). It can with matching pot pinchers and a most adorable pin keep! I wish I could take and pic and post (but I'm a dummy in that way for sure)!
Thanks Toni! Sue Feely Sister #349 |

Posted - Oct 02 2009 : 5:21:52 PM Hey Sally,
I sent out your aprons today. They are in two seperate priority envelopes. I have to appologize before hand, because one is decorated on the outside and the other is not. See I ran out of the envelopes, so I packed all my goodies to decorate at the post office. We are having Santa Ana winds here and when I got all my items out of the car when out of my hand flew the stickers and down the street they went. I am soooo sorry. One envelope is beautiful and the other is not. There is no particular envelope for either you or your mom. Just pick one and open it. If you wish to switch, please do so. I really hope you like all the goodies from Ashley and I. Let us know. I will post pictures when I know you have gotten them.
Have a good day!
