Posted - Jan 27 2006 : 1:18:29 PM Frannie and Aunt Jenny, I am not surprised you two don't sleep much, with ALL YOU DO!!!
I don't seem to need much sleep either, about 6 hours did me for years (too much stuff to do at night while the kids were sleeping and it was QUIET!) although this year I have been fighting depression and that makes me sleep more.
I am a night person always, born at 8:30 pm., and hubby has always worked swing shift so that is how we live now the kids are gone. People just give me the hardest time about it! Hey, I got up early for school children for 20 years, give me a break! If I am up sewing at 3:30 in the morning, I am not gonna be awake a 8 am! |

Posted - Jan 27 2006 : 1:05:29 PM hank has always marvelled at how little sleep i seem to require .. but ya' know .. i seem to get about 5 to 6 hours a night .. which is enuff for this body, i guess .. and doesn't seem that much different than most people's schedules.
midnight to 5 or 6 a.m. sometimes i get to bed later and wake up a tad later .. (or earlier) ..
i rarely do 'naps' .. only if my blood sugars DROP .. which makes me very sleepy .. i eat some 'chocolate' and fall asleep for a little bit .. or NOT!
i used to tell hank (and the girls when they were teens) and would sleep late on weekends .. that they must look forward to DEATH .. when they will get to sleep forever!!! i have always been a MORNING person .. and am a NIGHT person too if i'm making dollies or doin' something fun!
how many hours do you girls get of sleep (on an average)?

Posted - Jan 27 2006 : 08:31:12 AM good morning nancy jo ... will send you my e-mail address .. and will look around for some treasures for you to choose from for a swap and post some pics.
check out A Farm of My Own thread .. page 2 .. Cabin Creek Farm .. post date: Nov. 30 for some pics of CCF in Country Living. (this was BEFORE we moved here and is the REASON we moved to Kentucky!) when i heard CCF was for sale .. i was here within a couple days to buy it! Home Sweet Home!!!
Chile .. i was a secretary for 25 years and can type about a zillion words a minute .. and my mind travels even faster than that! Our computer is on the second floor of our TWO-ROOM 'lower' cabin .. and everytime i come up here for sumpthin' .. i hit the machine for a few minutes. after having our morning cuppa' coffee together .. i have a second one while checking e-mails and my 'forums' .. then if i'm at home .. i'll amble up this way once or twice a day .. and i don't get tired too early .. so .. i will usually come up here again at night before hitting the bed.
i AM the 'Energizer Bunny'! xoxo

Posted - Jan 27 2006 : 05:11:19 AM Frannie I will pack up your sunflower tablecloth and mail it out. Send me an E'mail with your address. GART1@ADELPHIA.NET I think I read someplace that your cabin was in Country Living at one time , is that right? Do you have pictures? and what was that about a school house, is that part of your propery too? I have lots of old postcards and valentines from the early 1900's too,its so intresting to read what people were writting about then. And one more thing, how do you find time to make all the posts to this site and do all the other things you do. You and aunt jenny are wearing me out. Nancy Jo |

Posted - Jan 26 2006 : 11:51:05 AM Frannie Well I don't think its too prissy, but I also don't know as I would want my four Grand daughters having at it with their lunch. I bought it thinking how nice it would look on my picnic table, but noticed that I kept using other ones that I have. wish i could take a picture but haven't mastered that skill yet. Yes it is washable. Nancy JO |

Posted - Jan 26 2006 : 11:13:09 AM sounds like a great tablecloth of summertime .. can you take a photo of it? is it washable? the 'silky' part makes it sound a little prissy for this olde farm .. but if it isn't too prissy .. i would be interested in a swap .. what types of things would you like for a swap? xo, frannie
