Posted - Mar 08 2009 : 11:50:21 AM I'm on a mission to find a funky, junky pair of boots. Size 8. I'd like to have a red pair of Ropers, I used to have a pair and I wore 2 sets of soles off of them. I'd settle for a decent pair of brown, but I want authentic boots.... worn, a little ragged. I have one stipulation: no pointy toes if possible. I dont know what i could trade. I have some vintage linens, and some feed sacks. Or we can work something out. Let me know.

Posted - Mar 10 2009 : 9:53:29 PM I wouldn't like the Hollywood prices, bet they came to Nevada and bought them for $10. I lived in Hollywood when I was 12-13 (very late 50's, early 60's) and loved walking down the boulevard. Lots of strange people even then, but it was so much safer in those days. Memories that pop up every now and then. |

Posted - Mar 09 2009 : 6:11:45 PM Hey Dawn....if all else fails, I was in one of the Vintage shops down on Hollywood Blvd on Saturday and they had I kid you not at least 200 pairs of cowboy boots. I got my denim jacket there as well. I asked the clerk what was up with all the boots, she said they had so many in storage they are trying to get rid of them all. So I could go down there and email pictures to you. They are priced between $45 and $60 though. So this is just in case all else fails. I plan on going down later and getting some of my own! Posted - Mar 08 2009 : 8:01:00 PM I have a dozen or more pairs of cowboy boots at storage, not sure of sizes. Will need to go get them and check and take photos. I had visions of repurposing them, but probably won't happen. Already have a request for a size 7 1/2 if I have any suitable. Won't be parting with the pair my MIL bought used in the mid-late 20's when they were in the 101 Ranch show. Think they're already at my daughters house anyway. If the above posts aren't successful barters, I'll get as many as I can find this week and take photos. Some are good brands but not all. Price/barter will adjust for value, but don't want a lot anyway since I got them fairly priced. |

Do you have any 11-1/2 mens cowboy boots? They can be worn and skuffed, but not pointy
I have either redwork to trade or soap, balm, salve, lip balms or CASH!
