I posted a topic under the craft section and didn't get many responses. So I wasn't sure if many weren't interested or if here was or no one saw it on the other form. So if you have already seen this and have responded I won't forget you, go ahead and send me you address. But here is my idea. I remember when I was younger a neighbor talking about a tea towel exchange. You by 10 tea towels and send 1 to the person on the list that you got and then the other 9 to people you know. Well I was thinking along the same line as that. If I get enough people I was originally thinking 10 but might go down to 5 people, and we all make quilt blocks. I would start it off and send it to lets just say 5 farm girls, they would make 5 blocks and when ready email me and I would send them 4 names. They would send their blocks to the 4 I sent them and then to the 1st person on the list they got with their 1st quilt block. The idea is that you would get quilt blocks coming back to you. Here's the thing, you would make 5 quilt blocks that were all the same, so if you quilt awesome, if not embrodier something on a block or even fabric paint something. Something that symbolized who you are. Then as we get the quilt blocks we start to form our own quilt made by all of the sisters. The idea is that when we are having a bad day and we need that hug of a sister who is miles away we will have a blanket to make us feel better. I know this is long winded so if you have questions feel free to ask or email me. I'm trying to see how many want to participate and then I will get it started. If you want to start sending me your addresses so that I can get a list going I would love to do that. I will come up with instructions a little more detailed so that everyone will understand a little better.
