Posted - Sep 21 2008 : 8:05:42 PM I make Mother's Bracelet's for a charity called Heavenly Angels in Need. The bracelets are given to mommy's who have lost their babies due to prematurity or other reasons. Sometimes they are given as a gift when the baby passes away, with a memory box or other keepsake item.
I am looking for people who would be willing to barter bead, jewelry findings, etc. I sew, crochet, paint, craft, etc. and would be willing to trade their "extras".... I need spacer beads, glass beads, crimping beads, etc. I don't use many plastic beads.
Here is a picture of the latest batch for donation to a photographer who gives the bracelet to the mommy on the 1 year anniversary of the baby getting it's "angel-wings"--

Anyone interested??? I would also take baby fabric, satins in pastel colors, baby or pastel flannels for trade.

Posted - Oct 07 2008 : 08:23:18 AM Angie, A package is on its way and was mailed yesterday. It is rather heavy so I sent it parcel post which said it may take 6 days. Hope you can use the beads.
Happy Day! barnagainkristin

Posted - Sep 22 2008 : 04:34:37 AM That is a lovely thing to do. I have some nice crystals I would love to donate to the cause -- I've been trying to pass down many of my crafty items lately, and your angels seem like the perfect place to send my beading things to.

Posted - Sep 21 2008 : 8:43:32 PM Angie, Just tonight I took 4 bags full of beads I found at a thrift store to my daughter to see if she could use them and she said no. They had been in a container that I wanted and had to be purchased together so I just figured someday I would find someone who could use them. They are quite small but could possibly be used for spacers. Each bag is 1/2 kg and is marked seed beads. They are very tidy on fine strings. I have royal blue, rose, and off white. I think you would have enough to last you a lifetime if you can use them. No need to barter anything. Just let me know if you think you could use them. I would love them to go to such a good cause. What a nice thing you do. barnagainkristin
