Does anyone homeschool or just need books for your children to read? I have a fair amount just hanging out in my basement. I was in the classroom for many years and am now consulting but have a bunch of "good stuff" waiting for a home.

UPDATE! Here is the list....

The following are sets of books...
Number the Stars by Lois Lowry (12) +2 curriculum guides
Dear Mr. Henshaw by Beverly Cleary (10)
The Pigman by Paul Zindel (10)
Call It Courage by Armstrong Sperry (11)
Hatchet by Gary Paulson (5) +curriculum guide (some covers loose)
Charlie Skedaddle by Paricia Beatly (10)
Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck (10)
Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes by Eleanor Coerr (11)
On My Honor by Marion Dane Bauer (7) +curriculum guide
Best Christmas Pageant Ever by Barbara Robinson (14)

Kids paperback picture books...
Mystery of the Pirate Ghost by Geoffrey Hayes (step 3 rdg)
I Spy A Pumpkin (level I rdg)
My Picture Book of the Planets by Nancy Krulik
You Can Drive an Automobile (board book)
Frog and Toad Are Friends by Arnold Lobel
Bugs, Bugs, Bugs by Bob Barner
Three Days On A River In A Red Canoe by Vera Williams
Franklin's Bad Day by Brenda Clark
Franklin Fibs by Brenda Clark
Franklin Plays the Game by Brenda Clark (soccer)
Clifford's 1st Snow Day by Norman Bridwell
Wolves for Kids
Hungry, Hungry Sharks by Joanna Cole (step 2 rdg) (well loved cover)
Whales The Gentle Giants by Joyce Milton(step 2 rdg)(well loved cover)

Paperback singles...
Math Rashes and Other Classroom Tales by Doug Evans
Runaway Ralph by Beverly Cleary (I have 2 of these)
Report to the Principal's Office by Jerry Spinelli
My Father's Dragon by Ruth Stiles Gannett
Elmer and the Dragon by Ruth Stiles Gannett
A Taste of Blackberries by Don Buchanan Smith (well loved)
Soccer Scoop by Matt Christopher
Baseball Turnaround by Matt Christopher
Help! I'm Trapped at Summer Camp by Tod Strasser
Enormous Crocodile by Ronald Dahl
Red Pony by John Steinbeck (well loved)
My Teacher is an Alien by Bruce Coville
Aliens Ate My Homework by Bruce Coville
Titanic Crossing by Barbara Williams
The Family Under the Bridge by Natalie Savage Carlson
Crazy Lady by Jane Conly
The House Without A Christmas Tree by Gail Rock
Absolutely Normal Chaos by Sharon Creech
Shoebag by Mary James
Rabbit Hill by Robert Lawson (old)
Andrew Lost In The Deep #8 by Jc Greenburg
How to Fight a Girl by Thomas Rockwell
How to Get Fabulously Rich by Thomas Rockwell
There's a Boy in The Girl's Bathroom by Louis Sachar

OK...That's one bookshelf done! Many of these books may have worn covers and my last name on the front or side. The sets are most likely numbered. Some also have numbers on the inside cover that indicate the grade level of reading and the point value associated with a computer program called AR.

Price...well, I hand't really thought about it. I have no idea how much it will cost to mail but I'd like to recoup that. Otherwise, I'm willing to barter for your favorite Texas Sheet Cake recipe or a yummy bar of homemade soap or a hand knit dishcloth...let's chat! Thanks for reading....

Oh wonderful...my kids were just telling me the other day that we are missing those from our collection. I tend to buy one or two over and over and miss some. I needed to write them down. I will happily barter with any of you...embroidered goodies or knitted dishcloths.

No little house books (but I'll ask my friend if she has those and is willing to part with them). No Animal Farm or 1984 (in fact I was in the bookstore looking for 1984 just the other day)

Let me try to get a list posted. Perhaps that will narrow down the multiple requests and then we can see what's what. I'm out of town all day tomorrow but check back on Sunday for the list! I probably should have done that one in the first place. Live and learn! ;)

I am grateful. I have enough.
