Posted - Jun 05 2008 : 3:55:58 PM I have a bright green pieced star medallion for a quilt. It is done in bright greens (shamrock) and some browns. The individual pieces are daimond shape and the medallion is quite large.
a twin size (maybe big throw) quilt it is made of water mark and tie dyed colored fabrics. THe colors are brights with a black border. Think amish style. The pattern is called bear claw I think. It was made for a boy there is embroidery with the to and from on the back. It is very soft and has been washed a ton. It is definitely very used. There are some spots ( I haven't washed it) and it has been mended. It might be a good cutter.
a purple calico rag quilt. It is throw size and in very good condition. It just doesn't match anything I own.

Posted - Jun 21 2008 : 5:12:45 PM I am interested in the medallion. What would you like for it, Hannah? I have some crocheted pieces, not sure what you would be looking for in the way of needlework. Let me know if you would like something else. I don't have any of the other things. I have some older hankerchiefs with the crochet edgings they are really quite nice and in wonderful condition. Would you be interested in any of that sort of thing?

Posted - Jun 05 2008 : 8:17:56 PM I'll swap for old needle work, old flowered sheets or pillow slips, a darning egg, a heart shaped rock, bolo ties, western belt buckles, or anything old and lovely.
I love homemade things and save lovely pieces whenever I can. I just want to get these pieces somewhere where they will be loved instead of sitting in my cupboard because they just don't go with my other stuff. |
